The First Coalition of the French Revolutionary Wars was an alliance formed in 1793 between several European monarchies to defeat revolutionary France. The coalition included Britain, Austria, Prussia, Spain, Sardinia, and several German states. However, the coalition forces were defeated by French armies led by generals such as Dumouriez, Pichegru, and Jourdan.
