Statutory / Legal Status

Asia-Pacific Entrepreneurship Development Institute is registered under Society
Registration Act 1860 with its area of operation all over India.

•

The General Body of Asia Pacific EDI comprises experienced and like-minded
members from different background such as development sector, teaching,
management sector and business. The General Body represents members from
different seven States of India. Out of 11 members, 4 are women. In the Executive
Council, out of 7 members, 2 are women.

•

The Advisory Board of Asia Pacific EDI comprises internationally renowned eminent
personalities of Development Sector, IITs, IIMs and other leading organizations
from Europe, USA and India. The Advisory Board provides direction to Asia Pacific
EDI so that it can work to fulfil its vision and mission and achieve its goals and
objectives.

Faculty of Asia Pacific EDI is a group of 20 committed, seasoned and experienced
professional trainers, academicians, researchers, project managers and
entrepreneurs having diverse background of corporate sector, industry, family
businesses, management education, social entrepreneurship and social /
development sector.

To bring excellence in corporate sector by developing programmes of corporate
entrepreneurship (intrapreneurship) and addressing the issues of improving leadership,
management style, efficiency and productivity.
To strengthen SMEs and family businesses entrepreneurship through different
programmes of leadership, succession planning, life coaching and achievement
motivation.
To boost the new venture and start-up entrepreneurship environment and motivate
potential entrepreneurs to start their enterprises.

Statutory / Legal Status • Asia-Pacific Entrepreneurship Development Institute is registered under Society Registration Act 1860 with its area of operation all over India. • The General Body of Asia Pacific EDI comprises experienced and like-minded members from different background such as development sector, teaching, management sector and business. The General Body represents members from different seven States of India. Out of 11 members, 4 are women. In the Executive Council, out of 7 members, 2 are women. • The Advisory Board of Asia Pacific EDI comprises internationally renowned eminent personalities of Development Sector, IITs, IIMs and other leading organizations from Europe, USA and India. The Advisory Board provides direction to Asia Pacific EDI so that it can work to fulfil its vision and mission and achieve its goals and objectives. • Faculty of Asia Pacific EDI is a group of 20 committed, seasoned and experienced professional trainers, academicians, researchers, project managers and entrepreneurs having diverse background of corporate sector, industry, family businesses, management education, social entrepreneurship and social / development sector.

Goals • • • • • • • • To bring excellence in corporate sector by developing programmes of corporate entrepreneurship (intrapreneurship) and addressing the issues of improving leadership, management style, efficiency and productivity. To strengthen SMEs and family businesses entrepreneurship through different programmes of leadership, succession planning, life coaching and achievement motivation. To boost the new venture and start-up entrepreneurship environment and motivate potential entrepreneurs to start their enterprises. To create an environment of entrepreneurial education by developing programmes for school students, management students, management faculty and Directors as well as promoters of the business schools. To demonstrate and facilitate in launching successful models of social entrepreneurship for accessibility of social services at the bottom of pyramid. To strengthen livelihood sector for addressing the problems of unemployment, hunger, poverty and inclusive growth in rural as well as urban areas. To bridge the gap of corporate sector and development sector and bring together both the sectors for implementing projects of corporate social responsibility. To implement projects of corporate intrapreneurship in different areas of corporate sector at different levels. To execute programmes of SMEs and family businesses entrepreneurship for existing entrepreneurs as well as next generation and focus on leadership, succession planning, life coaching and achievement motivation. To put into operation new venture and start-up enterprises through potential entrepreneurs by different programmes. To put into practice entrepreneurial education by addressing the target groups of school students, management students, management faculty, Directors and promoters of business schools. To exhibit social entrepreneurship programmes and bring development ethos at the bottom of pyramid where everyone can be benefitted with innovations. To implements programmes of livelihood promotion so that problems of unemployment, hunger and poverty can become a phenomena of past. To implement projects of corporate social responsibility in different social sectors and regions.
