2.   PHD SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMMES FOR THE 2012-2013 ACADEMIC YEAR, THE CENTRAL ASIAN
     FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME (CAFDP) OF THE UNIVERSITY OF CENTRAL ASIA (UCA),
     DEADLINE: OCTOBER 31, 2011
The Central Asian Faculty Development Programme (CAFDP) of the University of Central Asia (UCA) is pleased
     to announce its 2012-13 scholarships for Doctorate (PhD) level studies at partner institutions around the world,
     including Canada, Germany, Singapore and United Kingdom and other countries.

     The CAFDP provides full scholarships to candidates from Central Asia interested in an academic career at UCA
     and willing to make a commitment to work as researchers and teaching faculty at the Graduate School of
     Development and the undergraduate School of Arts and Sciences upon completion of their studies at UCA’s
     campuses in Khorog (Tajikistan), Naryn (Kyrgyzstan) and Tekeli (Kazakhstan)

     Eligible fields of study at UCA’s partner institutions include:

     Natural and Applied Sciences: Biology, chemistry, biochemistry, applied physics, geology, applied mathematics,
     computing science, environmental sciences, earth sciences, natural resource management, and engineering
     sciences (environmental engineering, complex systems analysis and design).
     Social Sciences and Humanities: Archaeology, anthropology (including ethnomusicology), economics, sociology,
     Asian and Middle Eastern studies, development studies (economics), mountain tourism, and public policy.

     Application to the CAFDP Scholarship is a two-step process:

     1.   Eligibility for CAFDP – All applicants are required to first meet the eligibility criteria put forth by UCA for the
          scholarship
     2.   Admission to Partner University – candidates considered eligible will then be invited to submit full
          applications to the individual partner universities to secure admission. UCA reserves the right to select the
          university based on students’ field of study and available programmes at partner institutions.

     The U.S. Embassy in Bishkek is seeking an individual for the position of Administrative Clerk/Translator in the
     Public Affairs Office.

     BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION

     Public Affairs Administrative Clerk/Translator provides full range of administrative assistance to the section.
     Incumbent serves as the principal LES assistant and advisor to the Public Affairs Officer with responsibility for
     planning and executing management functions related to the full range of Post operations and for ensuring that
     available resources are used in support of establishing program requirements. Administrative Clerk/Translator
provides translation and interpretation for the section and Ambassador when needed. In addition, the
Administrative Clerk/Translator coordinates all Public Affairs Section programs and coordination with other
sections and is responsible for drafting reports to the Department on the effectiveness of the programs.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

All applicants must address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive information
supporting each item.

1. Education: A university degree in information science, political science, international affairs, American studies
or other social science field is required.

2. Prior work experience: Minimum six months of prior progressively responsible office management
experience with an international organization is required

3. Language Proficiency: Level IV (fluent) in both spoken and written English, Russian and Kyrgyz are
required. (This will be tested).

4. Job Knowledges: Knowledge of the workings of NGOs and/or international organizations is required.

5. Skills and abilities: Excellent service orientation to target audience, interpersonal, and cross cultural skills.
Ability to carry out reference searches and respond rapidly to complex requests, often for breaking news; to work
effectively with American and foreign national staffs; to independently plan, organize, and carry out assigned
responsibilities using electronic based technologies, including internet, CD-ROM, and print resources; to
maintain contact with target audience members; excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to
prioritize work schedule and incoming requests. Must have strong computer skills. (This will be tested).


SELECTION PROCESS

When fully qualified, U.S. Citizen Eligible Family Members (USEFMs) and U.S. Veterans are given preference.
Therefore, it is essential that the candidate specifically address the required qualifications above in the
application.

ADDITIONAL SELECTION CRITERIA

1.   Management will consider nepotism/conflict of interest, budget, and residency status in determining
     successful candidacy.

2.   Current employees serving a probationary period are not eligible to apply.

3.   Current Ordinarily Resident employees with an Overall Summary Rating of Needs Improvement or
     Unsatisfactory on their most recent Employee Performance Report are not eligible to apply.

4.   Currently employed U.S. Citizen EFMs who hold a Family Member Appointment (FMA) are ineligible to
     apply for advertised positions within the first 90 calendar days of their employment.

5.   Currently employed NORs hired under a Personal Services Agreement (PSA) are ineligible to apply for
     advertised positions within the first 90 calendar days of their employment unless currently hired into a
     position with a When Actually Employed (WAE) work schedule.

6. The candidate must be able to obtain and hold a local security clearance.

                                                                 DEFINITIONS

1. Eligible Family Member (EFM): An individual related to a U.S. Government employee in one of the following
                                 ways:

    •   Spouse or same-sex domestic partner (as defined in 3 FAM 1610);
    •   Child, who is unmarried and under 21 years of age or, regardless of age, is incapable of self-support. The
        term shall include, in addition to natural offspring, stepchildren and adopted children and those under legal
        guardianship of the employee or the spouse when such children are expected to be under such legal
        guardianship until they reach 21 years of age and when dependent upon and normally residing with the
        guardian;
    •   Parent (including stepparents and legally adoptive parents) of the employee or of the spouse, when such
        parent is at least 51 percent dependent on the employee for support;
    •   Sister or brother (including stepsisters and stepbrothers, or adoptive sisters or brothers) of the employee, or
        of the spouse, when such sibling is at least 51 percent dependent on the employee for support, unmarried,
        and under 21 years of age, or regardless of age, incapable of self-support.

2. U.S. Citizen Eligible Family Member (USEFM): For purposes of receiving a preference in hiring for a qualified
position, an EFM who meets the following criteria:

    •   U.S. Citizen; and,
    •   EFM (see above) at least 18 years old; and,
    •   Listed on the travel orders of a direct-hire Foreign, Civil, or uniformed service member assigned to or
        stationed abroad with a USG agency that is under COM authority, or at an office of the American Institute in
        Taiwan; and either:

             1.   Resides at the sponsoring employee's or uniformed service member's post of assignment abroad
                  or at an office of the American Institute in Taiwan; or
             2.   Resides at an Involuntary Separate Maintenance Allowance (ISMA) location authorized under 3
                  FAM 3232.2.

3. Appointment Eligible Family Member (AEFM): EFM (see above) eligible for a Family Member Appointment for
purposes of Mission employment:
             •    Is a U.S. citizen; and
             •    Spouse or same-sex domestic partner (as defined in 3 FAM 1610) or a child of the sponsoring
                  employee who is unmarried and at least 18 years old; and
             •    Is listed on the travel orders or approved Form OF-126, Foreign Service Residence and
                  Dependency Report, of a sponsoring employee, i.e., a direct-hire Foreign Service, Civil Service, or
                  uniformed service member who is permanently assigned to or stationed abroad at a U.S. mission,
                  or at an office of the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT), and who is under chief of mission authority;
                  and
             •    Is residing at the sponsoring employee's post of assignment abroad or, as appropriate, office of the
                  American Institute in Taiwan.
             •    Does not receive a Foreign Service or Civil Service annuity

4. Member of Household (MOH): An individual who accompanies a direct-hire Foreign, Civil, or uniformed service
member permanently assigned or stationed at a U.S. Foreign Service post or establishment abroad, or at an office of
the American Institute in Taiwan. An MOH is:
•   Not an EFM; and,
     •   Not on the travel orders of the sponsoring employee; and,
     •   Has been officially declared by the sponsoring USG employee to the COM as part of his/her household.

A MOH is under COM authority and may include a parent, unmarried partner, other relative or adult child who falls
outside the Department’s current legal and statutory definition of family member. A MOH does not have to be a U.S.
Citizen.

4. Not Ordinarily Resident (NOR) – An individual who:

     •   Is not a citizen of the host country; and,
     •   Does not ordinarily reside (OR, see below) in the host country; and,
     •   Is not subject to host country employment and tax laws; and,
     •   Has a U.S. Social Security Number (SSN).

NOR employees are compensated under a GS or FS salary schedule, not under the LCP.

5. Ordinarily Resident (OR) – A Foreign National or U.S. citizen who:

     •   Is locally resident; and,
     •   Has legal, permanent resident status within the host country; and,
     •   Is subject to host country employment and tax laws.

EFMs without U.S. Social Security Numbers are also OR. All OR employees, including U.S. citizens, are
compensated in accordance with the Local Compensation Plan (LCP).

     MAJOR DUTIES: Under the general supervision of the USAID Representative in Kyrgyzstan or his/her
     designate, the incumbent provides a full range of administrative and secretarial support: 1) maintains the
calendar for the Country Representative, makes and records appointments, prepares documents for domestic
     and international travel and visa obtaining, makes flight and hotel reservations, obtains tickets and arranges for
     transportation, prepares travel vouchers; 2) drafts memos, cables, reports and diplomatic notes, reviews
     outgoing documents for accuracy, completeness, correct format, grammar and punctuation ensuring 100% error
     free-rate; 3) maintains filing system for the supervisor in accordance with USAID Records and Management
     System Regulations; 4) develops and maintains current calendar of events for activities sponsored by donor
     organizations and implementing partners; 5) participates in meetings with USAID Representative and by
     him/herself representing USAID; takes notes from meetings and prepares reports; 6) provides written
     translations and interpretation for the USAID Representative during high-level meetings with the host country
     officials; 7) serves as the first point of contact for USAID Representative with customers such as other USG
     agencies at post and USAID/CAR staff and visitors, Government of Kyrgyzstan (GOK) officials, local
     International Donor Organizations; international business organizations/ partners, etc.; 8) administers USAID
     Kyrgyzstan web-page; 9) other duties as assigned.

     MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/SELECTION CRITERIA:

     - Education, Technical ability and experience (50%): University degree in Public/Business Administration,
     International Relations, social science, financial or other related field. Minimum four years of prior experience in
     office management with international organizations; at least one year of similar experience with a U.S.
     Government organization. Knowledge of office management practices and basic financial principles and
     procedures. Knowledge of host country political, social and economic situation and development trends, national
     traditions as well as laws, regulations and procedures on visas, customs clearance, VAT and taxes. Proficient
     typing and word processing skills. Strong analytical skills and ability to present information in clear and concise
     manner. Ability to write and proof-read in English with no or minimally few grammar and spelling mistakes.
     Computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, etc.)

     - Teamwork/Interpersonal and Communication Skills (30%): Good organizational, interpersonal relations
     and communication (oral, written and telephone) skills and ability to maintain customer friendly environment in
     the office. Good judgment, enthusiasm, individual initiative, an ability to work without daily directions and a
     willingness to work extra time if needed.

     - Language skills (20%): Level IV (fluent) English and Russian languages. Good working knowledge (Level
     III) of Kyrgyz is desired.

3.   VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT: PEACE CORPS KYRGYZ REPUBLIC, HEALTH EDUCATION PROGRAM
     MANAGER, DEALINE: OCTOBER 3, 2011

     Main duties include

         •    Managing all aspects of Health Education Program and provides support to Peace Corps Volunteers
              and their local counterparts
         •    Serves as a liaison between Peace Corps and host institutions
         •    Serves as the primary technical trainer during Pre-Service Training
         •    Conducts and monitors site and counterpart development
         •    Provides detailed and timely reports on program-related activities
         •    Necessary knowledge and skills:
         •    University degree in Health Education, Medicine or other related health field
         •    Experience working in the Health field and/or working with local grassroots health NGOs that
              demonstrates skills to support the main duties
         •    Fluent in English, Russian and/or Kyrgyz.

     Statement of Work
Under the supervision of the Director of Programming and Training (DPT), the Health Education Program
Manager (HE PM) provides leadership, oversight and management of Peace Corps Kyrgyz Republic’s Health
Education Project. The Health Education Program Manager serves as a member of the Programming and
Training Unit (PTU) staff, assists in providing training at various Peace Corps training events, and provides the
Peace Corps Volunteer (PCV) community and Peace Corps Kyrgyz Republic staff with relevant information
related to the various focus areas of the Peace Corps Kyrgyz Republic program.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project Management

Implementation

    •    Keep informed about changes in the Kyrgyzstani educational and health systems as this relates to the
         Health Education project, and keep PCVs and Host Country Counterparts informed of these changes.
    •    Represent Peace Corps Kyrgyz Republic in Health Education-related matters and serve as the primary
         liaison with governmental agencies, non-governmental organizations and international partners.
    •    With input from PCVs, Kyrgyzstani partners, PTU staff and the DPT, review and update the project plan
         as needed.
    •    Explore possibilities for future programming directions.
    •    Provide guidance and technical assistance to PCV partners and supervisors as needed.

Documentation

    •    With the Training Manager and the DPT, oversee the program information provided to Health Education
         Trainees in the Welcome book.
    •    In coordination with the DPT, update the Volunteer Assignment Description (VAD) and provide input for
         the Quarterly Trainee Request Summary.
    •    Prepare monthly reports, Project Summary Reports (PSRs) and other required program-related reports
         as requested for Peace Corps Washington.
    •    Develop articles for Peace Corps publications and provide information for project/program publicity.

Administration

    •    Participate in the Integrated Planning and Budgeting System (IPBS) process.
    •    In coordination with the Country Director, Director of Programming and Training (DPT) and Director of
         Management and Operations (DMO), participate in budget decisions affecting the HE program.
    •    In collaboration with the DPT, identify programming and training possibilities and submit appropriate
         funding requests.
    •    Maintain Volunteer whereabouts database.
    •    Act as an interpreter for American staff as needed.
    •    Provide other services as required by the DPT to maintain the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of
         the Programming and Training Unit.

Site Development

    •    Work with relevant staff, PCVs, government officials and others to identify potential site placements.
    •    Inspect and approve the housing options identified by the potential host agency partners.
    •    Prepare all relevant site documentation and place in site development and site history files.
    •    With TM, DPT, PCMO and CD input, assign Trainees to sites.

Site Visits

    •    Plan and conduct site visits to new Volunteers within the first 3 months at site and other PCVs at least
         annually throughout their service.
    •    Observe Volunteers’ work activities and provide coaching and feedback to improve effectiveness.
    •    As needed, assist Volunteers to establish good working relationships with partners and to resolve
         problems with host families.
    •    Monitor and evaluate HE Volunteers’ work.

Materials and Resource Development

    •    Develop and revise HE program materials and resources as needed.
    •    In coordination with the Language and Cross-Culture Coordinator, identify, purchase and/or order
         materials for use by PCVs and Counterparts.
    •    Provide technical assistance and guidance to Volunteers working on resource material development
         projects.

Professional Development
•   Participate in training activities provided to PC staff.
    •   Consult with DPT regarding program management and support of Volunteers as needed.
    •   Stay abreast of Health Education trends and directions in the Kyrgyz Republic and with Peace Corps
        worldwide.
    •   Provide guidance to the Program and Training Assistant(s).

Training

Pre-Service Training (PST)

    •   In collaboration with the Training Manager, design, oversee and evaluate the PST HE technical
        component curriculum.
    •   Facilitate technical sessions during the PST for the HE project.
    •   Together with the Training Manager and the DPT, supervise the HE Technical Coordinator.
    •   In collaboration with the TM, identify HE trainers and guest speakers, as needed.
    •   Work with the DPT, Training Manager, Language and Cross-Culture Coordinator and other PST staff to
        promote the integration of the various PST components.
    •   Provide on-going informal and periodic formal feedback to HE Trainees.
    •   Provide on-going informal and periodic formal feedback to HE Technical Coordinator.
    •   In collaboration with the Training Manager, design, prepare and implement the HE aspect of the Site
        Team Conference.
    •   In collaboration with the Training Manager, prepare sites for the Trainees' site visits.

In-Service Training

    •   In collaboration with the Training Manager, support PCVs and Counterparts in their professional
        development by developing appropriate In-Service Trainings and other technical workshops.
    •   Actively participate and conduct sessions during the various In-Service Trainings, workshops and the
        Close of Service Conferences.

Volunteer Support

    •   Serve as the main point of contact for Volunteers concerning all aspects of the HE project.
    •   Assist Volunteers to develop realistic expectations about their role and work in the Kyrgyz Republic.
    •   Assist Volunteers in resolving issues related to work and life in the Kyrgyz Republic.
    •   Provide technical support, oversight and guidance to Volunteers and their partners.
    •   Maintain site history and Volunteer files that include information regarding housing, work progress,
        primary job and Volunteer-initiated projects.
    •   Maintain prompt and responsive correspondence and other communication with Volunteers.
    •   Provide written references for Volunteers, as requested.

Safety and Security

    •   Develop Volunteer sites according to Peace Corps’ worldwide and post-specific safety and security
        standards.
    •   Become familiar with and abide by post’s Emergency Action Plan (EAP), incident reporting, and other
        post-specific protocols.
    •   Become familiar with and abide by Peace Corps manual sections related to PCV safety and security,
        such as MS 270 and MS 350.
    •   Collect and update Volunteer Site Locator Forms.
    •   Contact assigned Volunteers during EAP tests or emergencies.
    •   Immediately inform the Peace Corps receptionist of any updates to PCV site address information.
    •   Assure that PCVs stay in compliance with Post’s notification policies when away from site.
    •   Act periodically as Duty Officer.
    •   Assure that PCVs and their sites are in compliance with MS270.
    •   Attend Duty Officer and other S&S trainings.

POSITION ELEMENTS:

    •   Supervision Received: Exercise full responsibility in daily operations within broad guidelines provided
        by the DPT. For new, difficult or unusual tasks, supervisor gives specific directions on objectives and
        procedures. Supervisor reviews finished work for accuracy, effectiveness and timeliness.
    •   Available Guidelines: Peace Corps manuals, supervisor instructions, standard forms and guidance
        from Peace Corps Headquarters.
    •   Exercise of Judgment: The incumbent must be able to function independently in the area of site
        development and visits, the preparation of PST and IST materials and Volunteer supervision and
        support.
•   Authority to Make Commitments: None in the area of budgeting and contracting. Has the authority to
             make decisions that directly affect program development.
         •   Nature and Level of Purpose of Contact: Government officials, Peace Corps Washington, PTU
             personnel, local and US-based Training experts, Training Staff, Peace Corps office staff, Volunteers
             and Trainees.

     Continuing Education Center, American University of Central Asia seeks a Program Coordinator to coordinate,
     implement, and promote continuing education programs for diversified audiences. The mission of Continuing
     Education Center is to provide timely and innovative programs while meeting the diverse educational needs of

     DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

         •   Coordinates registration process for courses and trainings, prepares and implements all relevant

The Central Asian Faculty Development Programme (CAFDP) of the University of Central Asia (UCA) is pleased to announce its 2012-13 scholarships for Doctorate (PhD) level studies at partner institutions around the world, including Canada, Germany, Singapore and United Kingdom and other countries. The CAFDP provides full scholarships to candidates from Central Asia interested in an academic career at UCA and willing to make a commitment to work as researchers and teaching faculty at the Graduate School of Development and the undergraduate School of Arts and Sciences upon completion of their studies at UCA’s campuses in Khorog (Tajikistan), Naryn (Kyrgyzstan) and Tekeli (Kazakhstan) Eligible fields of study at UCA’s partner institutions include: Natural and Applied Sciences: Biology, chemistry, biochemistry, applied physics, geology, applied mathematics, computing science, environmental sciences, earth sciences, natural resource management, and engineering sciences (environmental engineering, complex systems analysis and design). Education: A university degree in information science, political science, international affairs, American studies or other social science field is required. 2. Prior work experience: Minimum six months of prior progressively responsible office management experience with an international organization is required 3. Language Proficiency: Level IV (fluent) in both spoken and written English, Russian and Kyrgyz are required. (This will be tested). 4. Job Knowledges: Knowledge of the workings of NGOs and/or international organizations is required. 5. Skills and abilities: Excellent service orientation to target audience, interpersonal, and cross cultural skills. Ability to carry out reference searches and respond rapidly to complex requests, often for breaking news; to work effectively with American and foreign national staffs; to independently plan, organize, and carry out assigned responsibilities using electronic based technologies, including internet, CD-ROM, and print resources; to maintain contact with target audience members; excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to prioritize work schedule and incoming requests. Must have strong computer skills. (This will be tested). SELECTION PROCESS When fully qualified, U.S. Citizen Eligible Family Members (USEFMs) and U.S. Veterans are given preference. Therefore, it is essential that the candidate specifically address the required qualifications above in the application. ADDITIONAL SELECTION CRITERIA 1. Management will consider nepotism/conflict of interest, budget, and residency status in determining successful candidacy. 2. Current employees serving a probationary period are not eligible to apply. 3. Current Ordinarily Resident employees with an Overall Summary Rating of Needs Improvement or Unsatisfactory on their most recent Employee Performance Report are not eligible to apply. 4. Currently employed U.S. Citizen EFMs who hold a Family Member Appointment (FMA) are ineligible to apply for advertised positions within the first 90 calendar days of their employment. 5. Currently employed NORs hired under a Personal Services Agreement (PSA) are ineligible to apply for advertised positions within the first 90 calendar days of their employment unless currently hired into a position with a When Actually Employed (WAE) work schedule. 6. The term shall include, in addition to natural offspring, stepchildren and adopted children and those under legal guardianship of the employee or the spouse when such children are expected to be under such legal guardianship until they reach 21 years of age and when dependent upon and normally residing with the guardian; • Parent (including stepparents and legally adoptive parents) of the employee or of the spouse, when such parent is at least 51 percent dependent on the employee for support; • Sister or brother (including stepsisters and stepbrothers, or adoptive sisters or brothers) of the employee, or of the spouse, when such sibling is at least 51 percent dependent on the employee for support, unmarried, and under 21 years of age, or regardless of age, incapable of self-support. 2. U.S. Citizen Eligible Family Member (USEFM): For purposes of receiving a preference in hiring for a qualified position, an EFM who meets the following criteria: • U.S. Citizen; and, • EFM (see above) at least 18 years old; and, • Listed on the travel orders of a direct-hire Foreign, Civil, or uniformed service member assigned to or stationed abroad with a USG agency that is under COM authority, or at an office of the American Institute in Taiwan; and either: 1. Resides at the sponsoring employee's or uniformed service member's post of assignment abroad or at an office of the American Institute in Taiwan; or 2. Resides at an Involuntary Separate Maintenance Allowance (ISMA) location authorized under 3 FAM 3232.2. 3. Appointment Eligible Family Member (AEFM): EFM (see above) eligible for a Family Member Appointment for purposes of Mission employment: • Is a U.S. citizen; and • Spouse or same-sex domestic partner (as defined in 3 FAM 1610) or a child of the sponsoring employee who is unmarried and at least 18 years old; and • Is listed on the travel orders or approved Form OF-126, Foreign Service Residence and Dependency Report, of a sponsoring employee, i.e., a direct-hire Foreign Service, Civil Service, or uniformed service member who is permanently assigned to or stationed abroad at a U.S. mission, or at an office of the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT), and who is under chief of mission authority; and • Is residing at the sponsoring employee's post of assignment abroad or, as appropriate, office of the American Institute in Taiwan. • Does not receive a Foreign Service or Civil Service annuity 4. Member of Household (MOH): An individual who accompanies a direct-hire Foreign, Civil, or uniformed service member permanently assigned or stationed at a U.S. Foreign Service post or establishment abroad, or at an office of the American Institute in Taiwan. An MOH is:
  • 5. Not an EFM; and, • Not on the travel orders of the sponsoring employee; and, • Has been officially declared by the sponsoring USG employee to the COM as part of his/her household. A MOH is under COM authority and may include a parent, unmarried partner, other relative or adult child who falls outside the Department’s current legal and statutory definition of family member. A MOH does not have to be a U.S. Citizen. 4. Not Ordinarily Resident (NOR) – An individual who: • Is not a citizen of the host country; and, • Does not ordinarily reside (OR, see below) in the host country; and, • Is not subject to host country employment and tax laws; and, • Has a U.S. Social Security Number (SSN). NOR employees are compensated under a GS or FS salary schedule, not under the LCP. 5. Ordinarily Resident (OR) – A Foreign National or U.S. citizen who: • Is locally resident; and, • Has legal, permanent resident status within the host country; and, • Is subject to host country employment and tax laws. EFMs without U.S. Social Security Numbers are also OR. All OR employees, including U.S. citizens, are compensated in accordance with the Local Compensation Plan (LCP). Under the supervision of the Director of Programming and Training (DPT), the Health Education Program Manager (HE PM) provides leadership, oversight and management of Peace Corps Kyrgyz Republic’s Health Education Project. The Health Education Program Manager serves as a member of the Programming and Training Unit (PTU) staff, assists in providing training at various Peace Corps training events, and provides the Peace Corps Volunteer (PCV) community and Peace Corps Kyrgyz Republic staff with relevant information related to the various focus areas of the Peace Corps Kyrgyz Republic program. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Project Management Implementation • Keep informed about changes in the Kyrgyzstani educational and health systems as this relates to the Health Education project, and keep PCVs and Host Country Counterparts informed of these changes. • Represent Peace Corps Kyrgyz Republic in Health Education-related matters and serve as the primary liaison with governmental agencies, non-governmental organizations and international partners. • With input from PCVs, Kyrgyzstani partners, PTU staff and the DPT, review and update the project plan as needed. • Explore possibilities for future programming directions. • Provide guidance and technical assistance to PCV partners and supervisors as needed.
