Students will be asked to write on a piece of paper the above sentences, exactly as they appear, replacing the underlined words with a pronoun. They will be reminded to pay attention to the order of the sentence. After 3 or 4 minutes the answers will be revealed one by one.
Students will be asked to once again number their sheets 1-5. This time they will be instructed to tell what JULIE does, which is always the opposite of what is said in the model. This way students get a chance to apply this newly learned pronoun in a more realistic way than in the previous exercise.
