Cal State Online is launching to expand access to CSU programs through online education. It aims to increase student enrollment, centralize marketing, and generate revenue for campuses. Initial programs will include degree completion, high-demand bachelor's and master's programs, and certificates. Campuses retain academic control while Cal State Online provides infrastructure and services. The first programs are launching in January 2013 across several CSU campuses.
