With the old FECTO Dublin Visitor Survey we were up
there with the rest of them. Its demise is a huge loss
but was never really properly funded anyway. TRC
really funded it.

what stands out is ownership and accessibility of data. I think we
only got data from Fáilte Ireland over the years because we
knew what to ask for and who to ask . . . there should be more
sharing of data. Also the various formats can be a pain. Would it
be possible to agree on one format? Definitely would suggest
one central tourism database . . . as it is, it's totally scattered
