- 2. Our Mission Established in 2003, Yeshivat Kfar Zeitim provides an enriching experience for Haredi teens who require an alternative educational framework. We invest in the learning and personal growth of our students through a fully integrated program of Torah study, vocational training and therapeutic activities.

- 12. OUR STUDENTS Where do our students come from?
- 13. OUR STUDENTS What do they have in common? Come from large families. Are unable to sit in class for long periods of time. Often suffer from: ADD, hyperactivity, impulsiveness, emotional problems, or other behavioral issues. Have experienced depression, anger, frustration and desperation in their previous learning environments. Are often the first child in their family or community to attend a non-traditional yeshiva.

- Kids who cannot sit and learn all day. Become ostracized in their communities. In 2003, most kids off the street. Today, only 5% but 90% would end up there without YKZ
- Two quotes which very much sums up the philosophy of the yeshiva.
- Remote rural location, yet central to many parts of Israel. Away from temptations of city life
- Comfortable but not too comfortable. Kids really connect to the location and nature and the peace and quiet

- Learn according to level, not necessarily age. Broken up into 3 class with breaks inbetween. In the early years, ,most of the students came to us directly off the streets and it felt like we were running a hostel. Today, it looks and feels like a yeshiva.
- Mezuzot, chairs, furniture for use on campus and for sale outside the community
- Learn to build and repair computers and how to operate all types of software. Students also learn how to edit and mix video.
- Students build and also install electricity. New classrooms and beit midrash all done by them.
- Yosef came back to be a madrich and is also about to get his electricians license.
- Kids come back after they finish – madrich, to work, to spend Shabbos. No longer feel the need to roam the streets on M”S
