Welcome to an introductory course on the basics of educational podcasting, designed for educators wanting to find out more about this exciting topic. The workshop will explore the history of podcasting, basic concepts, terms and definitions, podcasting types, and explore pedagogical issues and ways in which educational podcasts can be used as a curriculum resource at home, school, and elsewhere. The session includes a hands on exercises using Audacity, a free, open source tool available on the internet! The learning objectives for participants are: * To gain awareness and insight into educational podcasting * To acquire knowledge and understanding about how to create, edit and upload podcasts using Audacity * To explore ways of using podcasts as a curriculum resource learning
