5. Our Frameworks
SAFE
SalmonLLC has experienced growing adoption and success of the Salmon Application
Framework for eCommerce (SAFE™). SAFE™ is a fully developed, tested and pre-
configured solution comprising reusable components and a mature methodology,
significantly lowering the costs and reducing the risks typically associated to implementing
IBM WebSphere Commerce.
Having developed numerous functionalities that includes and extends IBM WebSphere
Commerce, Salmon is able to implement “Store in a box” solution to e-commerce projects
in fraction of time compared to traditional or other e-commerce solutions.
The SAFE™ 'Store-In-a-Box' solution is production ready, meaning there is no
development of core functions required, as with traditional e-commerce development
projects. Allowing for minor integration to a few of the business' back-end systems-such as
order process and payment gateway - and refining visual design for own company
branding - will see the solution fully implemented within 90 days. Note that integration
and the visual design services is part of the total solution offered with SAFE.
SOFIA
The Salmon Open Framework for Internet Applications (SOFIA) is a RAD tool set for the
J2EE. It integrates best-of-breed tools with a Java framework to provide an end-to-end
solution for developing high quality database driven web applications. SOFIA reduces
development time for a standard java web development project by around 20%.

A core element of Salmon’s Insurance Services is SAFI™(The Salmon Application
Framework for Insurance) a series of reusable and customisable components that allow
insurance companies to quickly gain competitive advantages via a refined and open IT
architecture.
SAFI™ is a fully flexible insurance framework, designed from the outset to meet
underwriting needs, as well as general insurance needs. Principally, SAFI™ allows insurers
to leverage the internet to streamline business processes, cut fixed costs and increase

Nick Rosser
Nick Rosser, founded Salmon LLC in New York in 1998. Over the years SalmonLLC evolved
into a respectable software development company which delivers every project with
highest quality and software standards. Nick's excellent relationships with clients and
project management has made sure that every company does repeat business with
Salmon every time. Today Salmon employees more than 50 techies who strive to excel in
their field.
Deepak Agarwal
Deepak Agarwal, CEO & Managing Director of Salmon India. Nick and Deepak started
Salmon India in 2007. Prior to this, Deepak has been working with Salmon US and UK for
8 years. He has been responsible for project management and architecture of many large
complex systems in his previous engagements at L& T India, NBTel Canada & CSC-USA.
Deepak has done M.S from Columbia, NY (Ivy League) and B.E in Computer Science &
Engineering from India. He also is certified enterprise architect and certified Java architect.
Dinesh Setia
Dinesh Setia, a Senior IT professional with a vast and rich experience spanning 14 yrs
across application and product development. Skilled on Sun Technologies and carved with
strong interpersonal skills, Dinesh forms a important part of Salmon. Over the years, he
has gained hands on experience in J2EE technologies like design patterns, EJBs, Struts,
JSP/Servlets. Also has vast exposure on databases like Oracle, MS SQL server, IBM DB2,
Sybase, MySQL. His areas of experience include custom application development in Retail,
B2B, transportation, healthcare and financial domains.
Dinesh prior to joining Salmon has worked with Comviva Technolgies, Outworx Solutions,
Keane, Metamor Global Solutions.
Dinesh is a Computer Science Engineer from MBM Engineering College, Rajasthan.
Dushyant Kumar
Dushyant Kumar, V.P. – Marketing at Salmon India, has spent more than 10 yrs of his
career in Commodity Trading & Retail sector. His last assignment was with Reliance Retail.
He was amongst the initial force at Reliance Retail and was instrumental in setting up the
Agri retail segment for the company. Prior to Reliance Retail, he has been heading senior
positions at Noble Grain and UE group of Singapore, managing the Indian operations of
trading for the companies. Well versed with the entire retailing gamut of businesses and
thorough with Supply Chain and Logistics.
Dushyant is a B.E. (Production) from M.I.T. and Masters in Business Administration from
La Trobe University, Melbourne, Australia.
