General Guidelines Night High School Scholarship Project

                                              I. Project Scope

St. Dominic Academy Batch ’78 Alumni, Inc. (“SDA Batch ’78”) scholarship project shall be officially known as the
“SDA Batch ’78 Scholarship Grant”. This educational grant shall be awarded to deserving secondary school
freshmen selected by the Scholarship Committee through a competitive process.

The number of recipients, as well as the nature of the scholarship grant will be determined by the Scholarship
Committee on an annual basis. This scholarship project shall be managed by the Scholarship Committee.

  This scholarship grant will be different and separate from any other grants that may already be existing or coming;
and it shall be implemented within the scope of the Scholarship Agreement signed between SDA Batch ’78
  representatives and Student/Parent.

For the school year 2010-11, SDA Batch ’78 shall award a 5-Year Scholarship Grant to two (2) high school
freshmen, one male & one female, at St. Dominic Academy (“SDA”) of Pulilan, Bulacan, under the school’s Night
  High School Program.

                                        II. Scholarship Committee

The scholarship project shall be managed by a Scholarship Committee consisting of a Chairman and four alumni
members of SDA Batch ’78. Membership in this committee shall be done by appointment or volunteer selection as
determined by SDA Batch ’78 alumni members. Tenure shall be for two years.

After the 2-year term, it is the responsibility of the incumbent Scholarship Committee members to turn-over
immediately and completely all project-related documents, transactions, records, and proceedings that occurred
during the term of their position to the incoming new Scholarship Committee members.

All decisions made by the Scholarship Committee shall be deemed final.

                                        III. Funding and Coverage

The scholarship project shall be funded by SDA Batch ’78 through pledge donations from alumni members and
other donors. Funds collected specifically for this project shall not to be used for any other purpose. The allocated
funds were projected to be sufficient to cover tuition fees, textbooks, shoes & uniforms, transportation allowance,
school-related miscellaneous and incidental expenses for each scholar for five years.

Continuity of the scholarship program and the number of scholars launched per school year will depend on the
availability of funds, results of the project, and donor’s participation. SDA Batch ’78 recognizes its commitment to
the student and agrees that no scholar will be launched unless the full five-year costs are adequately funded.

Depending on what will be agreed upon by all donors and the Scholarship Committee, any remaining funds at the
end of the scholarship project shall be re-allocated to other SDA Batch ’78 charitable activities OR deposited to
SDA Batch ’78 General Fund account OR refunded to all donors of this scholarship project on a pro-rated basis
(based on calculated percentage of donations made by each donor).
General Guidelines (Cont’d) Night High School Scholarship Project

officially admitted to St. Dominic Academy Night High School Program. The Scholarship Committee shall
coordinate with the school screening committee administering the Night High School program to seek
recommendation of the top 10 (5 males & 5 females) possible candidates for the scholarship grant.

In addition, the following criteria shall also be used by the Scholarship Committee in order for the candidates to
be considered for the scholarship grant:

                                               VI. Monitoring

Recipients of the scholarship grant shall agree and strictly adhere to the following monitoring guidelines and
requirements. Failure to comply with any of these provisions shall be considered due cause for termination of the
scholarship grant and all its benefits. Once the scholarship grant is terminated, the scholar shall have neither
recourse nor legal right for reinstatement to the program.

The scholar shall submit a copy of grades for every grading period to the Scholarship Committee and/or allow the
Scholarship Committee to make a formal request of copies of their official school records from the school
  administration.

through regular meetings at a designated time and place.

The scholar shall maintain a grade point average (GPA) of at least 85 for every grading period, with no failing marks
  on any of the subjects.

If for any reason the scholar chooses to drop out of school, or is taken out of the scholarship program with due
cause, or temporarily discontinues attendance at SDA, or continuously fails to attend classes un-reasonably, the
scholar loses all scholarship privileges and will not be reinstated to the program. However, if the scholar drops out
or temporarily discontinues attendance due to health reasons, possible reinstatement shall be determined by the
  Scholarship Committee.

If the scholar fails to meet any or all of scholarship requirements, the option to re-evaluate the scholarship
program, consider new applicants for the scholarship grant, or totally discontinue the scholarship program, is at
the discretion of the Scholarship Committee and donors of the said program.

SDA Batch ’78 awards the scholarship grant on the assumption that the scholar possesses exemplary good moral
character. Therefore, should the scholar be subjected to any disciplinary measures imposed by the school
administration of St. Dominic Academy, or be involved in any felony or criminal charges, the scholarship grant and
all its benefits shall be deemed terminated.
