Notes de l'éditeur
Basic Information (1 minute maximum)
Be sure to add the names of the people that helped you in your assignment. You can mention them briefly in your presentation, but don’t spend too much time on this or you won’t have enough time for the rest of your story.
Personal Information (1 minute)
Take a few minutes to introduce yourself before you move into what you did. Feel free to add anything personal that you think would help the audience understand you better.
Assignment Overview (1 minute)
Give a high level overview of your assignment, but don’t give the details or results just yet. This page will show the scope of your assignment and allow you to move into some details in the following pages.
Assignment Details (4 minutes total for all parts of your assignment)
Now you can go a little deeper into your assignment, but not too deep! Always start with the results and then talk about how you did it. You can talk about different assignments individually. Pictures help, but use them wisely and don’t overload your audience.
What Did You Learn? (1 minute)
Pick your top 2-3 takeaways (absolutely no more than 5) from this assignment. and talk about how you think those things will help you in the future. Consider both technical and interpersonal topics.
Q’s and A’s (2 minutes)
Leave time for some questions. Listen carefully to the questions. Repeat them to make sure that you understood them and that everyone else heard the questions. Answer the questions as concisely as possible, but use complete sentences. Avoid “yes” or “no” without a brief explanation.
Don’t put this slide into your presentation, it is for you.
I repeat, at 15 minutes, your presentation will be terminated. In the immortal words of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, “Less is more”.
