A deckchair that graced the decks of the Titanic is expected to fetch between £62,000 to £125,000 when it goes on sale. The chair - one of seven known to exist, will be auctioned along with other lots from the ill-fated ship in the approach to the 100th Anniversary of the sinking ship.

The Giant Pimm’s Deckchair, the world’s biggest deckchair, is back on Bournemouth beach until the end of September, thanks to drinks manufacturer Pimm’s which has kindly donated the deckchair to the town. The world record breaking deckchair, which measures eight and a half metres tall by five and a half metres wide, and weighs almost six tonnes, was commissioned by Pimm’s® earlier in the year to celebrate the start of British Summer Time. Following its success, Pimm’s is gifting the giant deckchair to Bournemouth Borough Council as a permanent tourist attraction.

Hans Wegner’ s elegant offering is pleasing when in full but also as an adornment to a room when hung on the wall. Armchair by Nebojsa Joksimovic, Yoximovic Designo Studio Louis Vuitton partnered with a group of notable designers and studios to create a collection of foldable furniture and travel accessories. Dubbed “Objets Nomades”, the collection features 16 pieces like hanging chairs, lamps, foldable furniture, travel accessories, and more; set to be unveiled during this week’s Design Miami Fair 2012.
Eyes Wide have printed 1000's of deckchairs with artworks printed onto the slings, all created by celebrities from the worlds of art, music, food, fashion, architecture and design, which are available to rent in Hyde Park, Green Park, St James's Park, Regents Park and Kensington Gardens. One of each of the deckchairs was also signed by the artist for an auction night at the Bloomberg headquarters. The deckchairs are also available to buy and are very popular gifts. This year, we celebrate our 10th anniversary with another 16 specially commissioned deckchairs created by celebrities from the worlds of art and drama, comedy, rock, textile design and local school and community groups. Each has drawn their inspiration from the natural world. The Deckchair Dreams Collections transform the traditional landscape of London's Royal Parks each year, and at the same time, raise vital funds for special Park projects, in particular, our community, education and environmental programmes.
