HIV/AIDS can hit anyone. You can’t tell someone is HIV positive just by
looking at him.

HIV is transmitted through unprotected sex, pregnancy or contaminated blood
(unsterilized material).

HIV AIDES targets everyone: 1/ young singles with multiple partners,

2/ Unfaithful couples,

6. S5
3/ Health-care agents and anyone in contact or working with blood (drug
addicts, traditional practitioners),

7. S6
4/Even newborn babies or young children may have contracted the virus during
pregnancy, delivery or breastfeeding by a HIV-positive mother.

HIV is not transmitted by:
Mosquito bites, eating together, shaking hands, kissing, spitting, washing the
clothes of an infected person, sharing soap or washing together, using local
transports, latrines.

9. S25
There is no reason to fear a person who has the virus! HIV is only transmitted
through blood and sex. A HIV positive person can work and live normally
among others and needs support of family and friends.
