Nick Gordon's relatives were happy
when Nick accepted Dr. Phil's offer of
rehab. According to Radar Online,
March 9, 2015, the young man didn't
do it for himself. He did it for his
unofficial wife, Bobbi Kristina Brown.
Nick's aunt Lisa told Radar Online,
"He's always thinking about (Bobbi
Kristina). He went into rehab
yesterday. As long as he's there,
everything is fine." It became evident
from his time with Dr. Phil that Nick
had a serious drug and alcohol
problem. He was so strung out that he
couldn't walk. Sources said that he
had to be wheeled around on a luggage cart. Dr. Phil told Nick Gordon's mother, Michelle, "Your
son, left to his own devices, will be dead inside a week."
A source told Radar Online that Nick consumed gallons of Jack Daniels and Xanax just to get through
the day. However, his drug and alcohol problem didn't start when Bobbi Kristina was found face
down in her bathtub. He and Bobbi Kristina have a history of heavy drug use according to many of
their friends. They allegedly did heroin, pot, Xanax, and the heroin substitute Roxidocone.
Nick's aunt said, "We knew how much pain he was in. He'll be there for some time. He's in rehab
and we're just waiting for him to get better and we'll go from there. Anytime someone goes to a
rehab center it's going to help if they're willing to rehab themselves. We support everything he does
and are here for him and eventually his family will see him."
Nick Gordon has more than his share of demons to fight. The two women, who were most important
in his life, were found face down in the bathtub. Not only did he try to save Bobbi Kristina, he also
tried to save her mother, Whitney Houston. Nick's mother told Dr. Phil, "As we sit here right now,
my son's life hangs in the balance. When Whitney was found, he administered CPR to her and called
me as he was standing in front of her saying, 'Mom, why couldn't I do it? I couldn't get air into her
lungs.' He won't let go of the guilt."
Nick Gordon will allegedly be in rehab for three months. Maybe during that time, Bobbi Kristina will
recover and be able to tell what really happened that day. To date, she is at Emory University
Hospital in a medically induced coma, while on life support. At one time, the doctors tried to wean
her off the coma medication, but when she began to have seizures, they put her back on the drugs.
Leolah Brown posted a message on Facebook imploring Dr. Phil to not broadcast the show with Nick
Gordon. She wrote, "Nick Gordon is under investigation for the attempted murder of my niece Bobby
Kristina Brown. We have strong evidence of foul play. "Until this investigation is completed by law
enforcement, I would ask that you or anyone else not provide this individual a platform to spin this
2. situation to his benefit. If Nick Gordon does not have the courage to speak with my brother Bobby
Brown and/or law enforcement about what happened the day my niece's body was found in a
bathtub, he does not deserve to have a platform to speak to anyone of your caliber until this
investigation is concluded." The interview that turned into an intervention is set to air March 11.
How long do you think Nick will stay in rehab? Will he last the full three months, or will he release
himself earlier? Post your thoughts below.
