My media evaluation

2. Research and planning
 When researching in general for the whole unit of work I used google. I chose
to use Google as I found this the search engine I used the most and I was able
to find the answers that I wanted. E.g what genre Aviici’s music is , that there is
a sub culture of people who listen to this music and it is a actually apart of their
lifestyle.
 I also used blogger which is the website that we can create blogs on and hold
all of our information and work on. I choose to use this website as it is easy to
access from anywhere.
 I also used YouTube for my research. This way I was able to watch music videos
when ever I needed to make reference back to the original videos of a certain
artist. I could also link a variety of music videos to my blog to show the points
that I am trying to make.

3. Research and planning
 When it came to editing some of my screen shots for my
video I used paint. This is a tool that I had on my home
computer , I found this easier to use than Photoshop which
I used for editing screen shots when I was on the mac
computer at school.
 I used a app on my phone called kik to get opinions from
people I knew about a variety of ideas I had for my music
video. I also used this to communicate to my actor in my
music video to ask when they was free and also what they
thought of certain scenes.

4. Construction
 I used my Samsung galaxy mini phone to film footage
of when I was out driving with my family, I filmed out
of the window to get passing by scenery to show
different areas that the characters were travelling past.
 I used a fiji camera to film all of the other footage, this
camera was a okay choice , If I did this again I would
use a different camera that has better quality.

5. Construction
 For editing my footage I used final cut express as I had
used this previously in AS but I have a much better
understanding of what I was doing with the software. I
saw no point of using any other software as I would
struggle with learning the basics in such a short
amount of time.
 For editing my digipack I used Photoshop and fire
aplaca these are two editing softwear that I used to
create and edit all of my digipack.

6. Construction - websites
 When constructing my digipack I used a website called
da font , this website lets you choose from a lot of
different style of font for my digipack.
 Another website called barcodesinc that generates
barcodes for you so you can have a barcode for your
product to make it look more realistic.

7. Evaluation
 For my evaluation I have used blogger to put my evaluations on the
internet also to make them much easier to access.
 I have used paint to edit my screenshots to make them smaller size and
just to get them onto my blogger with ease.
 I also used tumblr to post my link to my video, digipack and to my
survey monkey so they could answer questions , this way I could get a
large amount of people answering the questionnaire with varying ideas
and opinions.
 Survey Monkey is a website where you sign up and you can create
surveys for free , this is how i was able to answer question 3 of the
evaluation
