The patient presented to my office as a 20 year old male with a chief complaint oriented around a missing upper front tooth. The patient indicated that he wanted this tooth replaced with a dental implant supported crown. The patient also indicated that he had lost this tooth 5 years ago in a BMX accident. Since the accident, a number of problems occurred that interfered with the unity, balance and stability of his teeth would complicate the treatment. The teeth on either side had tipped, one tooth had discoloured and the tissue in the site of the missing tooth had receded creating a significant tissue deficiency in the site of the missing tooth. All of the above problems and treatment options were discussed with patient.
