Trend Analysis
As of 5 November 2012, there were over 390,000 Syrian refugees in neighbouring countries and North Africa. Numbers have increased significantly since 1 August when about 132,000 refugees
were registered and/or assisted in Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey. From 1 October to 5 November there has been an increase of over 83,000 refugees. Refugee numbers have also increased in
North Africa (7,848 individuals). Furthermore an estimated 18,000 Syrians have fled to European countries such as Armenia, Georgia, Cyprus and Greece.
