1. NI1 SUMMER HOMEWORK
Here you’ve got some extra homework for this summer. You will need it for the
forthcoming year, so please apart from revising everything we’ve seen in NI1, practice
with the blog activities, do as much listening and reading as you can…and have a look
at the following units:
-Cinema (Unit 6B)
-Unit 7 (phrasal verbs and how to write an article)
-Health
-tv and mass media
-Environment
ENJOY YOUR SUMMER but don’t forget that learning a foreign language is an ongoing
process, a daily effort and intermediate 2 is quite a tough course! SO DON’T STOP
WORKING!!
My piece of advice for your summer readings. If you don’t like reading novels much
you’ve got plenty of material on the Internet or you could buy magazines such as Hot
English Magazine or SpeakUp! They are great!!!!!!
READING AND LISTENING ARE VITAL TO IMPROVE YOUR ENGLISH SKILLS!
For those of you who passed your June exams, keep working (in a more relaxing way yet)
Watch films, watch tv, listen to English music, travel, read your favourite books and get an
English speaker friend!
For those of you who have not passed some of your skills, work on your mistakes. It’s very
important to be aware of your mistakes. Read, listen and practice. Work on your basic
mistakes and try to include more intermediate structures and lexis in your writings and
speeches. English must be part of your daily lives and it’s not a school subject you can learn
by heart some days in advance.
AND REMEMBER: YOU WILL ONLY LEARN A LANGUAGE IF YOU REALLY ENJOY THE PROCESS
OF LEARNING IT!
ENJOY YOUR SUMMER!
SEE YOU IN SEPTEMBER!
