30. Identification. Proper ID gives you full access to
your bank, governmental systems, coorporate
intranets etc. And it also secures your e-mail.

Payments and loyalty programs. It will be a few
years before it’s standardized, but you can start
using it now. Let go of your wallet.
32. Shopping. Both online and off. We use our
phones as in-store shopping assistants, but we
will also buy more and more things in-phone.
34. A lot of people are not really interested in
owning stuff anymore. They much rather just
have access to them.
35. Maybe because stuff is aging faster than ever,
new models of everything are coming out all the
time. We expect constant updates, constant
evolution - preferably revolution.
36. We access streaming services for music and
movies rather than buying discs. We access
software in the cloud and pay monthly. We rent
e-books instead of buying paper copies.
37. People are paying for access and they are paying
for content. Illegal file-sharing was not really
about cost – it was primarily about convenience.
41. Strategy:
Don’t think mobile first or desktop first – think
everything at once. Build responsive, adaptive,
open.
42. Strategy:
Don’t try to build it all yourself. Open up your
data through public APIs and let others
integrate, mashup and create.
43. Strategy:
Don’t force people to use a specific format (like
a cd, dvd, blue-ray). Let them buy the content in
any form they like.
44. Challenge:
The pc is no longer the main screen. People
don’t want to switch to their computer when it
is time to press the buy button, transfer the
money or update their timesheet.
