1. Pablo Picasso by Karina Adults 2D
Picasso was born on October 25th, 1881, Malaga,
Spain and died on April 8th, 1973 in Mougins,
France

2. He started painting at age 10.
He was a painter who changed styles according to
his mood and wife or friend that was on his side.

3. In 1895 he made his first major academic canvas,
First Communion (Museo Picasso, Barcelona)

4. Blue period
Influenced by the works of Toulouse Lautrec, painted in
blue human misery, exhausted workers, alcoholics and
prostitutes

5. Pink period
Picasso meets his first companion, Fernande Olivier. With
this happy relationship Picasso changed his palette to pinks
and reds.

6. Cubism
Inspired by the volumetric treatment of Paul
Cézanne, painted a series of landscapes as if they

were made out of "little cubes

7. Shaped face mask
In the summer of 1906, during a stay in Gósol,
his work entered a new phase marked by the influence of
Greek, Iberian and African Culture.

8. Collage
In 1912 he made his first collage, combining pulp
and rubber piece on a canvas painted only in
some areas

9. Classical period (1921-1925)
Influenced by his time in Italy in 1917.

10. The prevailing harmony of lines, curvilinear
strokes and some underlying eroticism, reflect
the joy and passion of Picasso for his new love,
Marie Thérèse Walte

11. Spanish Civil War 1037
He painted the huge mural called Guernica.
displaying it in the Spanish Pavilion at the Paris
International Exhibition in 1937 he wanted to
express with violence and cruelty of the event

12. World War II
helped Picasso's palette is dark as death was the
most common theme in most of his works

13. In 1968, and over seven months, he created the
remarkable series of 347 engravings with which he
returned to his original themes: the circus, the
bullfight, the theater and the erotic scenes.
