3. Here are the sculptures
made by students in
3rd A, 3rd B, 3rd C
Comenius Project: “Hand in Hand for a better World
Art teacher: Donata Dindiani
4. Our work wants to communicate peace. Keeping a clean world we
could live quietly, in harmony with nature’s elements: air, water and
earth. Lisa B. & Erica C.
6. “The world can change!”
The Sky is grey
the Air is dark
and misty.
The Grass grows
slowly,
breathing hope.
This work tells us that
with everyone's help
polluted air could
become clean and fresh
Filippo M.
7. Before a grey world
After we dream

9. … SAVE THE WORLD!
THIS WORK REPRESENTS THE STATE IN
WHICH THE EARTH IS NOW, POLLUTED!
THERE IS A GLOBE WHICH IS OUR HOUSE
WITH A SHADE OF A LAMP THAT INDICATES
THE LAYER OF POLLUTION AROUND THE
EARTH!! CALENDAR PAGES, AT THE TOP,
ARE ALL THE POSSIBILITIES THAT WE HAVE
HAD TO CHANGE. THE YEAR 2013, WRITTEN
AT THE TOP, EXPLAINS THAT WE HAVE THE
LAST CHANCE TO DO IT, NOW!!
Anna
10. The work wants to
comunicate that it is
possible to change and
improve the world with
systems that are
already present in our
society like wind or
solar energy.
Andrea M.
11. According to us, this balloon in
Italy, Poland, Spain, Romania,
Hungary, Turkey and all the world,
will spread the message of a better
world to all people. And will trigger
the wish of a cleaner world and
hence of a happier world by means
of the respect for the environment
and the energy saving.
Secondo noi, questa mongolfiera in Italia,
Polonia, Spagna, Romania, Ungheria,
Turchia e in tutto il mondo, farà volare il
messaggio di un mondo migliore a tutti gli
uomini. Farà accendere il desiderio di
rendere il mondo più pulito, quindi più
felice attraverso il rispetto dell’ambiente e il
risparmio energetico.
Luna and Tracy
12. The dripping world
means that we are
squeezing all it’s resources out of
it like you do with a wet sponge.
The coloured hand rappresents
the three major skin colours of
the world. Nymue G.
WORLD
13. The cosmic butterfly is a butterfly which can be a container, a bookshelf, a source of culture
Inside we find a sort of ventilator and a candle which represent air and fire energy.
Its wings are yellow because they capture sun rays and they are also a source of heat and
energy; its antennas finish with two disks they are two CDs: one is light, it indicates the sun
and the day, the second one is dark to symbolize night and darkness.
The butterfly flies in the air and represents the air. Maddalena and Daniele
14. Alvaro R.
The mighty wind carries away and scatters our dreams. Maybe our mistakes?
15.
16. IN A BURNING WORLD
Alberto & Riccardo
Through the symbolism (hand
which supports - fire burning)
we want to show that we are
ourselves the architects of our
future and therefore the fate of
the Earth. Land which for us is
the source of life, but.... is
burning in front of us.
17. When you can SAVE …
WASING makes no sense!
Greta, Carlotta, Greta
Wind turbine
This project encourages energy
saving and energy that can be
produced in natural ways
without polluting or wasting
18. The name of this project is wind turbine. It represents the renewal of electricity and a way to
improve the world through the use of wind. This project has a lot of meanings, one of these is
the possibility of recycling materials making new and useful objects. The purpose of this
project is important also for the environmental protection because this type of electricity
doesn’t damage the air and the environment. Egon and Leonardo
WIND TURBINE
19. Fly up, where the
winds blow, my desires
for a friendly world.
Volano in alto, dove i venti
soffiano, i miei desideri di
un mondo amico.
Luca and Nicholas
22. This work represents
the water cycle and its
pollution, caused mainly
by man.
The clock shows the
energy used in different
eras, that slide and mark
our time in the future.
Quest'opera rappresenta il ciclo
dell'acqua e il suo inquinamento,
provocato principalmente dall'uomo.
L'orologio mostra le energie usate nelle
diverse epoche, che scorrono e segnano
il nostro tempo futuro.
Tommaso and Luca
24. To demonstrate in a simple
way that, with fantasy,
flowers can also be made with
plastic.
Per dimostrare in modo
semplice che, con fantasia,
i fiori possono essere anche
fatti con la plastica.
Gloria
25. Poca terra rimane alle radici perché
le foreste siano i polmoni del nostro
mondo.
Basta con la cementificazione, ridiamo la
terra agli alberi e al grano.
Little land remains to the roots
so forests will be the lungs of our
world.
Enough with the overbuilding,
give back the land to the trees
and wheat
Francesca B. and Federica F.
28. Ruota il mondo, bocciolo di fiore,
il respiro della terra sale al cielo.
E tornerà primavera.
Rotate the world,
flower bud, the
breath of the
earth rises
to the sky.
Spring
will return
Enrj and Lorenzo
29.
30. The windmill is formed by
eight petals, on each one
some of the most common
recyclable materials are
written (inside the bottle there
are samples of these
materials).
This means that in the future
more and more materials will
be recycled then we will
have a better world.
Luca G. and Riccardo N.
31. Il nostro Mondo è la nostra Casa ed è un grande regalo, il nostro compito
è conquistare la sua bellezza.
Our World is our Home and it is a big gift, our job is to keep its Beauty
Beatrice ed Emma
32. The smokestacks
pollute the air,
however from this
chimney some
white smoke comes
out like a ray of
hope
Le ciminiere
inquinano l’aria, ma
da questa ciminiera
esce fumo bianco come
un raggio di speranza
Sofia B.
33. Eagle flies high, looks at the world and leads
us toward the sun..
Aquila vola in alto, guarda il mondo e
guidaci verso il sole.
Chiara
34. Save our earth: without the chimneys and
air pollution, the world would be better and
environmentally sound. Alessia and Eva
35. The hand of man
pollutes so much the
earth to bring humanity
to ruin.
La mano dell’uomo inquina
talmente tanto la terra
da portare alla rovina
l’umanità.
Jenny and Giulia
36. I wanted to represent the man who
was able to have revolutionary ideas
such as recycling ... and my work
was created with fabric recovery.
The man is on earth with the light
bulb in the head symbolizing
his ideas.
Pietro
38. I have chosen this title because my
sculpture reminds an abandoned mill, that
is no more lean and tidy but polluted.
No more clear water flows, but dirty and
polluted water.
For this reason I didn’t use new material,
but I made my sculpture with material to
be thrown away and that pollutes: a car
wheel.
Alberto R.
“The abandoned mill”
39. Marco, Gioele and Mohamed
Our work represents
the humanity which,
because of its
superficiality, is
slowly consuming.
In spite of
everything, there is
always a glimmer
of hope.
41. This is a boy built with reused materials
(plastic bottles, iron, a soccer ball with
holes, wood, work gloves, fishing line, a
ping-pong balls, a solar panel and
electric cables). The only object that
has not been re-used is a T-shirt with
the emblem of the Comenius project
which symbolizes the bond that exists
between us children and nature.
The solar panels, located over his head
have great significance:
"Look what I got in my head!"
Filippo and Giovanni
