2. Option 1: copy your URL, and then go to bit.ly to shorten it
Copy the URL that is too long, and then go to http://bit.ly/ From here you can enter in the address that
is too long, and then you can click quot;shortenquot;
Copy the new short URL, or just post directly to twitter from here by signing up for bit.ly
The new short URL quot;http://bit.ly/3IRGTquot; will appear, and you can just copy and paste that into your
tweet. In the future, if you like posting from here, you can just click quot;sign upquot; and once you register for
a bit.ly account, you can post to twitter directly from here.

3. Option 2: If you're going to be doing this a lot, grab the bookmarklet
Go to bit.ly (http://bit.ly/ ) and drag the quot;Shorten with bit.lyquot; link to your browser's bookmarks

4. Once you have the bookmarklet in your bookmarks, you can just visit a page with a long
URL and click the bookmarklet to get the short URL
Visit the page with the long URL, and you can click the quot;bit.lyquot; bookmark to get a pop-up right there on
the screen with the short URL!
