Getting started with blogger

1. Blogger http://www.blogger.com

2. Create your Google Account Start at http://blogger.com If you already have an account, sign in, if not, follow the steps described (e.g. email, password, etc). Don’t forget to click on the “I accept” box before continuing.

3. Pick a Title and Web Address Name that blog This step allows you to define your blog’s title and it’s address on the web. You just fill in what you want and blogger will let you know if your choices are available.

4. Choose your template Express your style There are quite a few choices and you can change your mind later. Click on a radio button and continue.

5. Start Blogging You can start now, and share your ideas with the world, or work through a few more steps if you want to limit who can read your blog.

6. Optional Settings The Basics As you scroll down from the “Basic” tab on the “Settings” page, you might want to add a description or limit how your blog is listed. Don’t forget to save changes. Always.

7. Optional: Settings to limit who sees your blog You can be private Use “permissions” to add authors or limit who can view your blog. We think you’ll want to open your blog to the world eventually…. But you can start small if you want.

8. Optional:Settings related to Comments You may want to moderate the comments on your blog. There’s a setting for that (middle of comments page).

9. Optional Layout Another place to customize and have fun. You can add “gadgets” to allow you to show pictures, lists of links and more.

10. Post and Publish Posting to your blog is a bit like creating an email or forum posting. When you’re done you can save as a draft or publish.

11. And post again and again When you come back to the URL for your blog, you’ll be able to create new posts by choosing (wait for it) “New Post”.
