1. Educational requirements for applying PR visa of Canada
Permanent Residency makes it possible for the immigrants to realize the true

The Immigration Minister, Mr Kenny points out that Canada has suffered

Immigration and Citizenship (CIC) has therefore renewed the educational
requirements for applying PR visa of Canada. A more focused and need oriented
immigration should produce a workforce that actually contributes to the economy.
The changes on the immigration criteria do also necessitate a younger age of
immigrants who join the workforce. The objective with such policy amendments is to
make sure that the immigrants contribute for a longer period of time and also
contribute more. Canada runs a points system to evaluate every applicant on age,
education, professional experience, financial stability, adaptability and spouse’s
skills. Age gets the most marks if the immigrants belong to an age group of 20-35
years. Similarly, education is also evaluated on different scales and accordingly
points are allotted. A PhD gets the maximum score followed by a Masters, Bachelor’s
degree and a Diploma.
