Athletic Field Usage The Fairfax County Park Authority and the Department of Neighborhood and Community Services are soliciting public comment to help establish guidelines for permitting and regulation of athletic field use to determine the appropriate number of players who can use a field without a permit.

5. Culmore Cleanup More than 200 volunteers from the Culmore area, including local businesses, faith-based and nonprofit organizations will participate in the ninth annual Culmore Cleanup on Saturday, April 30, from 9 a.m. to noon.
6. Culmore Cleanup Contact the Woodrow Wilson Library at 703-820-8774, ext. 4, to pre-register teams of volunteers. Participants should check in at 9 a.m. at the Woodrow Wilson Library, 6101 Knollwood Drive, Falls Church, to receive trash bags, a T-shirt and gloves. Coffee/light refreshments will be offered.
7. ClemyjontriPark ClemyjontriParkin McLean is 18.5 acres developed as a unique accessible playground where children of all abilities can play together. The Park now features the Liberty Swing, an apparatus that makes it possible for all children to enjoy a swing – even those in wheelchairs.
8. ClemyjontriPark On Saturday, April 16, at 9 a.m. the public is invited to join in the ribbon-cutting celebration to recognize donors toward the funding of the $104,000 project. ClemyjontriPark is owned and operated by the Fairfax County Park Authority and opened in late 2006.
9. I-66 Paving VDOT has begun a $48 million project to repair and resurface six and a half miles of badly deteriorated pavement on Interstate 66 between the Capital Beltway and Route 50 in Fairfax County. Lane closures will take place at night –9 p.m.-5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. More details are on the VDOT website.
