4. Fairtrade flowers producer regions
At the end of 2014, 55 producer
organizations in eight countries
held Fairtrade certification for
flowers and plants.
Thirty of these organizations
are in Kenya and 42 in Africa as a
whole.
Certification for Fairtrade
flowers and plants continued
to grow, reflecting the market
interest in Fairtrade certified

8. Fairtrade flowers production in 2014
The total production capacity of
Fairtrade flowers blossomed to
more than three billion stems
at the end of 2014.

Flower producers that were
certified and eligible to make

reporting period sold 22% of
their production volumes on
Fairtrade terms overall.
