Present Simple Facts and permanent states- Бодит үнэн бас байнгын байршил Truth or laws of nature- үнэн болон байгалын хууль Habits and routines( whit, always, usually, etc)- зан заншил бас тогтсон 						хэв журам Timetables/ programs (whit a future meaning)- цагийн хуваарь, 							хөтөлбөр Feelings and Emotions- сэтгэлийн хөдөлгөөн
Present Simple James lives in Denver. The temperature here falls below zero in the winter. She always gets up at 8 o’clock. The train for Madrid leaves at 10.10 on Monday. I like football.
Present Simple Time expressions used with Present Simple: every day/ month/ year, usually, sometimes, always, never, often, on Monday, on the evening/morning, etc Present Simple цагийг хэрэглэх: өдөр болгон/ сар/ жил, гол төлөв, заримдаа, үргэлж, хэзээ ч, байн байн, Даваа гариг, үдэш, өглөө, гэх мэт.
Exam: Her new perfume …… (smell) like spring flowers.

Present continuous to be + verb –ing Temporary situations- түр зуурын байдаль төлөв Actions happening how but now necessarily at the moment of speaking-  Fixed arrangements in the near future-
Present continuous Time expressions used with Present continuous: now, at the moment, at present, nowadays, today, this month,this week, tonight, always, still, etc.  Present Simple цагийг хэрэглэх: яг одоо, бэлэглэх,  өнөөгийн, өнөөдөр, тэр сар, тэр 7 хоног,  өнөө шөнө, үргэлж,
Present continuous I am painting the house this week. Jessica is reading a book about animals. I am going to my doctor this afternoon.
Present continuous Verbs that are normally not used in the continuous tenses. Verbs of the senses: hear, see, smell, taste, sound, feel, seem, appear, look(=seem), etc. 	The soup tastes salty. Verbs expressing feelings and emotions: love, like, desire, prefer, dislike, detest, hate, enjoy, want, etc.  	I want go to the cinema tonight. Other verbs such as: agree, believe, suppose, understand, forget, know, remember, think, belong, own, possess, have, want, need, etc. 	I always forget your phone number.
Some of the above verbs can be used in the continuous tenses. Note, however, the difference in meaning. THINK ,[object Object]
What are you thinking about? I am thinking about whether I should go to university. (=am considering)SEE ,[object Object]
The president is seeing the company’s directors tomorrow morning. (=meeting),[object Object]
I’m having breakfast. (=am eating)
I’m having a shower. (=am taking)SMELL - It smells awful in here. (=it has the smell of) ,[object Object],TASTE ,[object Object]
I am tasting the rice to see if it’s ready. (= am testing its flavor),[object Object]

Liking ideas When you describe people’s character, you can include positive and negative qualities. When you talk about negative qualities, you can use the expressions in bold. He tends to/can be aggressive at times. He is often aggressive. Look at the ways you can join the sentences. Similar qualities She is friendly. She is polite. She is friendly and(also) polite. She is friendly and polite as well. Opposing qualities He is helpful. He can be arrogant at times. 	He is helpful but he can be arrogant at times. 	he is helpful. On the other hand/However, he tends to be arrogant at times.
Liking ideas(for similar or opposing ideas) 	-To link similar ideas, we can use: also, furthermore, in additions, moreover, etc.  e.g. By the year 2050 we will have started using cleaner forms of energy. In addition, we will have discovered a way to get rid of rubbish with out damaging the environment.
