2. Ideas
• We decided to do a music video in our school drama
studio. This was an ideal location as it had good
acoustics and it was a large and open space.
• Blacking out the drama studio to allow the use of a
strobe light. This could be done by drawing the black
curtains around the room and turning the lights off.
After trailing this, it was clear that it was pitch black.
This was the desired effect.
• With the strobe light flashing, it would create distorted
movement effects. Upon trail, my partner and I
decided that this would be a good effect.
3. • The only problem was choosing which type of
music to use. After a long debate, we decided
to go down the drum and bass route. This was
because with most drum and bass songs, the
music videos use flashing lights. We thought
that with the strobe light it would look good.
• We chose the song Ain’t Nobody (Breakage
Remix) – Claire Maguire.
4. • In the music video, we both thought that
ballet and gymnastics with a distorted view
would look effective against the strobe light
and the slow drum and bass.
• We asked ballet dancers and gymnasts to
participate, and they accepted our invitation.
