• A noun is a word which
names a person, a place,
or a thing.
• A person-name is like
Salim, Ahmad, or Fatma.
• A place-name is like
school, hospital, or
house.
• A thing-name is like pen,
ball, or book.

• Nouns usually start the
sentence.
• For example:
Fruits are very healthy.
• Nouns can also work as
objects in the sentence.

• A verb is a word which
show an action or a state
of being.
• An action conveys a
movement.
• For example:

condition of the subject.
