Media Studies involves critically analyzing various media like films, TV, games, and advertising. Students will produce their own media texts like websites or podcasts for 50% of the coursework. The other 50% involves a written exam analyzing unseen TV or film extracts and answering questions about the media industry. Students need at least a C in English for the writing and will develop skills in research, production, and group work by studying examples from shows like Skins and Doctor Who. Media Studies combines well with subjects like English, politics, and art.
