4. Flip teaching (or flipped classroom) is a form of blended
learning which encompasses any use of technology to
leverage the learning in a classroom, so a teacher can spend
more time interacting with students instead of lecturing.
5. …"blended learning," or programs that include elements of
both face-to-face and online learning, is somewhat more
effective than either approach by itself. The study also found
that, by itself, online learning was more effective at raising
student achievement than face-to-face instruction
exclusively.

16. Hello all!
You are receiving this email because you are registered for the "Data Conferencing, Planning, and
Preparation for Teachers" course set to take place on Tuesday, March 6th from 5:00-7:15 at the
Calhoun ISD - Gifford Schultz Building in Marshall ( 17111 G Drive North, Marshall, MI 49068)
As the PD brochure mentioned, this PD is a "flipped" PD. Therefore, some of the learning will take
place before we come face to face on March 6th. The purpose of this is to introduce some of the
content of the course ahead of time in order to take more time to discuss the implications of our
work around data when we meet face to face. Therefore, it is vital that you complete the work
described on the website linked below. The work here is designed to not only introduce you to the
main concepts of the course, but to get participants to spend time considering many of the guiding
questions we'll tackle during our time together.
Please be prepared to discuss the questions at the bottom of the webpage. Please let me know
what questions you have. I look forward to working with you!
