CYBERBULLYING
    THE IMPACT - SHORT TERM
Bullied children have a greater chance to develop psychosomatic
symptoms and psychosocial complaints compared with children who
    are not bullied.

The following complaints arise: depressive symptoms, bedwetting,
sleep problems, tension, fatigue and abdominal pain.

If bullying continuous, it can lead to depression and in worst cases even
    to suicide and suicidal thoughts.

CYBERBULLYING
    WHAT IS THE DIGITAL DIVIDE?
The digital divide is caused by parents who are unable to
support their children in the social life over the Internet. At
the other hand, there are parents who are able to support
    their children.

The result of this project is a concept of an educational tool
that let bullies experience how it is to be cyberbullied.

In addition the tool gives schools and parents insights about
    their important role in cyberbullying.

CYBERBULLYING
    WHAT IS THE DIGITAL DIVIDE?
    Problem
Due to the digital divide not all the parents are able to recognize and/or
support their children on the issue cyberbullying.

    Goal
Develop a concept of an educational tool to reduce the digital divide
between youngsters who are supported by their parents and who are
    not supported by their parents.

    Create awareness!

CYBERBULLYING
    WHAT DO WE DEVELOP?
Movie based on real scenarios of cyberbullying shown on
    Virtual Reality Goggles.

Can be used everywhere at anytime.

    For example
To approach children and their parents, they can access
to the tool during or while waiting for PTA
    (ouderavonden).

CYBERBULLYING
    WHY THIS TOOL?
    Virtual reality & healthcare
Virtual reality therapy (VRT), is a method of
psychotherapy that uses virtual reality technology to
treat patients with post traumatic stress disorder, and
    several other medical phobias.

    User
The goggles let the user experience the movie in a real
time environment.  The user will be bullied and can’t
get out of the situation. Due to the goggles it’s not
possible to look away or to avoid the bullies.
