2. Galatians 3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of
the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is
every one that hangeth on a tree:
14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles
through Jesus Christ…
What does Christ redeemed us from the curse of
the law mean?
3. Romans 4:3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham
believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.
4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of
grace, but of debt.
5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that
justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
4. Romans 4:6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness
of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without
works,
7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and
whose sins are covered.
8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.
5. Romans 4:13 For the promise, that he should be the heir
of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the
law, but through the righteousness of faith.
- The promise was NOT though Law keeping
- but we have been trying to get it through the Law
- Why are people in bondage, sick and lacking?
- Not because of sin, but a guilty conscience.
6. Were Abraham and Sarah blessed by law
keeping?
Did did they have “perfect faith?”
7. Genesis 12:19 Why did you say, She is my sister, so that I
took her to be my wife? Now then, here is your wife; take her
and get away [from here]!
20 And Pharaoh commanded his men concerning him, and
they brought him on his way with his wife and all that he had.
Genesis 13:1 And Abram went up out of Egypt, he, and his
wife, and all that he had, and Lot with him, into the south.
2 And Abram was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold
8. Genesis 18:11 Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well
stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the
manner of women.
12 Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying,After I am
waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?
13 And the Lord said unto Abraham,Wherefore did Sarah
laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old?
15 Then Sarah denied, saying, I laughed not; for she was
afraid. And he said, Nay; but thou didst laugh.
9. Romans 4:13 For the promise, that he should be the heir
of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the
law, but through the righteousness of faith.
Abraham received his inheritance through “righteousness of
faith”
People need to hear they are “righteous by faith” and they
will receive their inheritance!
10. Romans 4:14 For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith
is made void, and the promise made of none effect:
If you are trying to “earn” your inheritance by the law, your
faith is made void
12. If you are trying to earn you inheritance,
Faith is made void and the promise in your life is
made of no-effect
13. If we don’t see the blessings of Abraham in our
lives, it means we are trying to get it by the law
The New Covenant is not something we “must
do”
It is in what “we believe”
14. Romans 4:13 For the promise, that he should be the heir
of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the
law, but through the righteousness of faith
You need to know your are righteous by faith
You don’t need to struggle for your inheritance.
