This document discusses how information and communication technologies (ICTs) can help stop climate change. The objectives are to promote ICT implementation to improve energy efficiency and consumption monitoring in industry. The methodology discusses four areas where ICT can reduce emissions: motor systems, logistics, buildings, and grids. ICT can standardize energy data, incorporate monitoring, and provide accountability. It can also rethink operations and transform energy management. Results show ICT ensuring responsible energy use through monitoring, data sharing, reverse logistics, and remote building/grid management. The perspective is that ICT could reduce global emissions by 7.8 gigatons annually by 2020, five times its carbon footprint, saving $946.5 billion through avoided electricity
