3. How to trace the Antichrist
The book of Daniel gives us the first glimpse
through history, how and when the Antichrist was
to arise and what it would do.
In Daniel 7, Daniel has a vision
In verse three he sees a lion with wings.
All over the walls at the Ishtar gate of Babylon were
depicted lions with eagles wings.
God uses this design to represent Babylon that
Babylon had already chosen and everybody knew.

Second Coming of Jesus. Daniel 7 leads to ‘Antichrist
power and its identification before the end.

Ten horns = Ten countries within the
Roman Empire that was divided into the
countries around the Mediterranean.

Western Roman Empire comes to an end in 476 when the Heruli
king, Odoacer, an Arian, took the city of Rome.
How to identify?
1. Among – comes up in Europe verse 8
2. Comes up after the 10 (476 A.D.) Arises in 538
3. Uproots 3 - verse 24
A. Heruli Uprooted by Theodoric, Ostrogothic king, requested by Zeno,
King of Eastern Roman Empire. No papal involvement.
B. Vandals
C. Ostrogoths
D. Lombards Uprooted by France, requested by the pope
All four were supporters of Arianism which was a rival of Catholicism

4. He shall be diverse or different – a religo-political power.
The Antichrist power has always been in politics, trying to
control nations

Christians have been put to death by Papal dominance.
Many by the influence of the Inquisition.
The Inquisition had such a negative influence during
the Middle Ages the name was changed during Vatican

Doctrine of the Faith”

20. Identifying the Antichrist
Daniel 7:25 The ruling time of the Antichrist. Time, times
and dividing of time
Jewish reckoning of time.
Time equals one year or 360 days (Jewish calendar)
Times equals two or 720 days
Dividing of time equals 180 days
1260 days
In prophecy a day stands for a year (Eze.4:6 & Num. 14:34)
1260 days would equal 1260 years.
The prophecy states that he would be in control until or at
the end of that time he would loose his power.

22. The Pope Reigns as a King
Daniel 11:31 to 45 is all about the activities of the
Papacy.
In Daniel 11:36 he is revealed as a king. “And the
king shall do according to his will; and he shall
exalt himself, and magnify himself above every
god, and shall speak marvellous things against the
God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation
be accomplished: for that that is determined shall
be done.

When… the Lombards threatened to overrun Italy, the
pope appealed to Peppin, king of the Franks, to
come to his assistance. Complying with the request,
Peppin thoroughly defeated the Lombards and , in 756
presented the pope with the territory he had taken from
them, the center of Italy. This grant , commonly
known as the Donation of Peppin, marks the origin
of the Papal States and the formal beginning of the
temporal rule of the pope.

The Papal States consisted of 17,000 square
miles in the heart of Italy which contained 22
cities.
These states and cities were ruled by the
Cardinals of the Catholic Church for over 1000
years.

Then The Pope Was No longer A King
1870 King Victor Emmanuel of Italy confiscated
the Papal States and the city of Rome from the
Papacy.
The popes had reigned from 756 to 1870 or for
1114 years with a dual title, Pope and King.

Daniel 7:25 “And he shall speak [great] words against the most High,

times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and

7:26 But the judgment shall sit,
This tells us that the judgment shall start after the 1798 date. Daniel 8:14 and
Revelation 14:7 tells us when – after 1844
The judgment scene is depicted in Daniel 7:9,10
After it is depicted, 1844, then it mentions that the Antichrist will speak great
words of blasphemy. (v.11)

2. It so why doesn’t he perform miracles and healings and

4. At one time there were three popes, all condemning each
other. Were they all Gods?
5. A pope John was killed in the act of adultery. Does one
who takes the place of God on earth commit adultery?
6. If another God on earth why has he killed so many
Christians?

A growing movement in the Roman Catholic Church wants the pope to
proclaim a new controversial dogma: that Mary is a Co – Redeemer.
Among the notable supporters are nearly 500 bishops and 42 cardinals
If the drive succeeds, Catholics would be obliged as a matter of faith to
accept three extraordinary doctrines: that Mary participates in the
redemption achieved by her son, that all graces that flow from the
suffering and death of Jesus Christ are granted only through Mary’s
intercession with her son, and that all prayers and petitions from the
faithful on earth must likewise flow through Mary, who brings them to
the attention of Jesus. This is what theologians call high Mariology .

least five times. “The singular role entrusted to her by God,
the role of co-operator in the Redemption.” (p.51)
This is the new god whom his fathers knew not that is to be
established and is recorded in Daniel 11:38
Who gave this pope the power to make a new Redeemer?
What could be a greater blasphemy than creating a new god or
goddess? This has been predicted and it is commonly practiced
everywhere in the Catholic world already.

Rev. 11:3 The two witnesses (O.T. & N.T.) prophesy in sackcloth
Rev. 12:6 The True Church in wilderness during the 1260 year period
Rev. 12:14 The woman, the True Church re-surfaces after the 1260 year
period
Rev. 13:5 During the 1260 years the Antichrist blasphemes God’s name,
his tabernacle, and the angels. He persecutes the saints world wide.

Napoleon sent his general to Rome and took the
Pope a prisoner and transferred him to
“Valance, France. This was when the Papacy
lost all it political power.
Italy gave the deadly wound to the Papacy.

As a nation she receives ambassadors from other
counties (about 140 at the present time) and is a
member of the United Nations
