ACIAR Conclusions • Asia-Pacific is home to the majority of the world’s hungry and malnourished, particularly women and children – High dependence on agriculture for livelihoods • A new aid paradigm is emerging • Transforming agri-food systems will require rapid innovation driven by – Targeted research (focussed on impacts) – New approaches to technical cooperation • Impact is critical and will depend on effective communication and incentives
