1. I am going to analysis the music video
from Ed Sheeran, the a team. This
video represents the same norm in
which I want to follow in my music
video, the song itself tells a story and
you from the start create emphasis for
the girl who stars in the video. The
start of the video expresses a girl
laying on a bench in a park, the mise
en scene of the girl dressed in sleeping bags
cuddling herself up discusses a situation
that she may possibly be homeless. This
creates an idea to the audience that she has
had a tough up-brining and the story line is
based on her experience being homeless.
Moving on in the video the young girl
walks around the park rushing her hands
through the trees showing real excitement
and happiness in her emotions, it
would be suggested that she has
just gained freedom from tough
experience she has just gone
through. Throughout the clip the
young girl is holding as what you
would think ‘her life’ as she
carries round her dovey and
jumper which suggests the lack of
money which she owns. The girl
then moves on to sitting down on the busy
London town watching people walk by, the
director speeds up the people walking by while
she is sat still on the street suggesting her life is
running past her – the same effect is used when
she stands above the rushing cars. It helps to
create a personal relationship with the actor and
the audience which creates emotion and
sympathy in which I want to create in my music
video. The range of shots such as close ups
enhance the pain and emotion in which
the girl appears to be going through,
the mise en scene of black mascara
which has evidently spread across her
face due to crying highlights how
upset she is.
