Genital Warts Early Stages – identify to treat
Understanding genital warts early stages may help someone find treatment sooner, reduce the odds of spreading the virus to others, and give you a
better idea of what you are dealing with. Because there are various shapes and sizes when it comes to genital warts, it might be difficult to describe the
initial symptoms. However, to ensure that you can understand the problem better, there are some common symptoms of genital warts that you can be
on the lookout for to identify the early stages of these warts.
Small bumps (only the rare, bigger ones are up to two to three centimeters). These are skin-colored and often collect into clusters. Oftentimes these
bumps have a sort of cauliflower shape.
Some people may only have one or two warts. These are directly in the genital area. These warts can be either raised or flat and are often soft to
the touch.
The majority of the time, genital warts appear around moist areas, this include the groin, anus, and vagina. During the genital warts early stages,
there may not be discomfort or symptoms. If people scratch them, they may bleed, hurt a bit, or become itchy.
Genital Warts Early Stages - Why it can be hard to detect
The Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) causes these warts. During the genital warts early stages, it may be next to impossible to detect an infection. Genital
warts have no immediate early symptoms. Once these warts begin appearing on the skin in the genital area, you know that you are infected with the HPV
virus. Some patients are infected for months or years before they start showing symptoms. They may not be displaying any warts at all nor are they
sure how to identify them. If you do notice that these warts are appearing on your genitalia (whether you are male or female), you should look out for
the following during the genital warts early stages.
For men – These genital warts may appear in smallish bumps on the: anal area, groin, scrotum, or penis
For women – They appear on the: anal area, in the cervix, groin, on the vulva, or in the vagina.
Genital Warts Early Stages - some early signs to be aware of
Once you notice the development of genital warts during what appears to be the early stages, some symptoms to show up include general discomfort
and itchiness. If scratched excessively, these warts may begin to hurt and/or bleed. Women who are afraid that they may have been exposed to HPV
infection but do not want to wait for the early stages to develop can get a Pap smear test instead. Early symptoms for women to look out for include
itchy genitalia and abnormal vaginal discharges.
Keep in mind that when it comes to sexually transmitted HPV and contracting genital warts, there is no reliable test available that is able to determine
whether a male is carrying the virus. The first concrete sign would be the actual appearance of these genital warts. Not everyone who has HPV is also
going to have genital warts, meaning many men may carry around an HPV infection for years without realizing it.
Remember that having anal or oral sex with someone who is infected with HPV could lead to you having genital warts alongside the anus, the mouth (the
palate, tongue, and lips) and the throat. The best thing to do in the genital warts early stages is to seek counsel from a medical professional or try
alternative treatment methods.
