This document provides guidance on creating excellent location maps for a study of Hengistbury Head. It specifies that maps must use two different map types, show the location and details of the study site, and indicate where data was collected. Maps should identify key land uses and include 5-6 detailed annotations. For extra credit, maps can include images and analysis of land use importance, and reference secondary data and sources in a bibliography. A sample map is provided locating details of Hengistbury Head and annotating existing sea defenses and the landforms of Mudeford Spit created by longshore drift.
