For the
HIS STORY MISSION
Amended and Adopted by the Membership on March 2nd

PREFACE
The Constitution is the primary governing document of His Story Mission. It is here that
guidelines, rules, regulations and standards, line of command, rights and requirements of His
Story Mission are found.
NOWTHEREFORETHIS CONSTITUTIONAL DOCUMENTESTABLISHES THE HIS
STORY MISSION IN THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
STATEMENT OF INTENT
 MISSION PURPOSESTATEMENT
The main purpose of His Story Mission is to bring glory to God by way of prioritizing and
combining Soul Winning activities as prescribed Biblically.
 MISSION STATEMENT
We bring glory to God by loving Him with all our hearts, with all our souls, and with all our
minds; by loving the neighbor as much as loving one’s self; by going to all peoples
everywhere and making them the disciples of Jesus; by baptizing people in the Name of
the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit; and by teaching people to obey everything the
Lord has commanded us through the Holy Scriptures.
 MISSION VISION
Romans 11 v 25: “There is a secret truth, my brothers and sisters, which I want you to
know, for it will keep you from thinking how wise you are. It is that the stubbornness of
the people of Israel is not permanent, but will last only until the complete number of
Gentiles comes to God.”
 MISSION COREVALUES
We value the Holy Trinity which is the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. We conform to

and abide by the lead of the Holy Spirit. Scriptural reference Paul’s Letter to the Galatians
Chapter 5:22-23, “But the Spirit produces: love; joy; peace; patience; kindness; goodness;
faithfulness; humility; and self-control…”
 MISSION DISTINCTIVES
In consistency with our Mission Statement and the Great Commission, we are a sending
Mission, domestic and international. Scriptural reference in the Gospel According to
Matthew Chapter 7:24, “So then, who hears these words of Mine and obeys them is like a
wise man who built his house on rock.” We are doing God’s Word when we hear it, not
just hearing, and Christ Jesus is our rock foundation on which we base our Soul Winning
activities.
 MISSION COVENANT
We trust in the Divine grace for our repentance and confession with our mouths that Jesus
Christ is the Lord and Saviour of our lives. Having been baptized upon our profession of
faith, in the Name of the Father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit, we do now, relying on His
gracious aid, solemnly and joyfully establish our covenant with each other:
o We will work and pray for the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
o We will work together in brotherly love, exercise an affectionate care and
watchfulness over each other and faithfully admonish and entreat one another as
occasion may require,
o We will not forsake the assembling of ourselves together, nor neglect to pray for
ourselves and others.
o We will endeavour to bring such as may at any time be under our care, in the
nurture and admonition of the Lord, and by pure and loving example to seek the
salvation of our family and friends.
o We will rejoice at each other’s happiness and endeavour with tenderness and
sympathy to bear each other’s burdens and sorrows.
o We will seek by Divine aid, to live carefully in the world, denying ungodliness and
worldly lusts, and remembering that, as we have been voluntarily buried by
baptism and raised again from the symbolic grave, so there is on us a special
obligation now to lead a new and Holy life.
o We will work together for the continuance of faithful evangelical ministry through
this Mission, as we sustain its worship, ordinances, discipline and doctrines. We will
contribute cheerfully and regularly to the support of this Mission, the expenses of
the Mission, the relief of the poor and spread of the Gospel through all nations.
o We will, as we move into the world, unite with other Christian organizations where
we can carry out the Spirit of this covenant and the principles of God’s Word.
o May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of
the Holy Spirit be with us all. Amen.

 MISSION CHARTER
o We, His Story Mission, having received Jesus Christ as our personal Saviour and
being baptized by full immersion in obedience to His command, do hereby
constitute ourselves to be a Mission patterned after the New Testament example.
o Moreover, His Story Mission Trust, through the authority invested in it by Jesus
Christ, shall have the right to administer the ordinances of believer’s baptism by full
immersion and the Lord’s Supper and shall seek salvation of the lost through the
proclamation of the Gospel while encouraging one another in Christian love.
o Furthermore, His Story Mission shall be governed by the will of God as revealed in
the Holy Scriptures and in accordance with the Covenant, Constitution and
Statement of Faith which His Story Mission has duly adopted.
ARTICLE 1 – PREAMBLE
1.1 In September of 2012, the Founders were called by God and set apart for His will and
purpose, that is to add service to spiritually bankrupt, morally broken and socially disadvantaged
individuals and communities of Zimbabwe and beyond by way of spreading the Gospel of
mankind’s Saviour and Redeemer, Lord Jesus Christ. During that time, having searched the
Scriptures under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, a need was recognized to constitute an organism
which shall more closely conform to God’s will, more so in this era, and prepare itself for greater
efforts in His Name.
1.2 Furthermore, a Notarial Deed of Trust and Donation number MA0000616/2013 was
registered at Harare in Zimbabwe, with the Registrar of Deeds on 24th of May, 2013. The Trust
shall be so registered and affiliated to Zimbabwe’s Social Welfare Ministry and any other
organizations with similar objectives as deemed appropriate and necessary.
1.3 Now therefore we, the Board of Officers of the His Story Mission, do hereby organize
ourselves in accord with the Trust Law requirements of Zimbabwe in drawing up and adopting this
Constitution as our articles of governance, to be interpreted at all times in order to reflect the
character of and bring glory to Jesus Christ, as revealed in the Holy Bible and articulated in the
standards set forth in the Statement of Faith in Article 6 of The Constitution, Mission Covenant
and Mission Charter contained herein.
ARTICLE 2 – NAME
The name of this organisation shall be His Story Mission.
ARTICLE 3 – PURPOSE
3.1 His Story Mission exists by the grace of God, and for the glory of God, thereby bringing
glory to God shall be the ultimate purpose in all its activities.

3.2 This Mission glorifies God by loving Him and obeying His Word through organizing and
applying the following:
a) Worshipping God and encouraging Biblical fellowship among believers;
b) Embarking on Soul Winning by proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ;
c) Encouraging, supporting and participating in missions work;
d) Equipping and enabling believers to take up missions work;
e) Administering the ordinances of baptism and communion;
f) Serving individuals, families, charitable and rehabilitational institutions, educational
interests, morally and socially disadvantaged individuals and societies, formal and
informal business sector and the Christian community by providing for physical,
emotional and spiritual needs, in the Name of Jesus Christ.
3.3 His Story Mission intends to acquire, whether by purchase or donation, own and maintain
property, movable and immovable, as may be required to carry out the above stated purposes.
(However, no member of His Story Mission will profit financially from its assets.)
ARTICLE 4 – MISSION
4.1 His Story Mission is patterned after the New Testament example of Jesus Christ’s ministry:
Jesus had compassion for the people; met the people’s needs; and taught people in interesting
and practical ways. (Scriptural reference According to the Four Gospels as follows: Matthew 9:36;
John 6:2; Luke 6:17-18; Matthew 15:30; Mark 10:1; Matthew 13:34; Mark 12:37, and others.)
4.2 His Story Mission shall adopt the Five-Fold Mission as outlined by the Great
Commandment in the Gospel According to Matthew Chapter 22:37-39 and the Great Commission
also in the Gospel According to Matthew Chapter 28:19-20:
a) Reaching out to communities and evangelizing to the un-churched and lost souls,
through preaching and personal evangelism, and any other means consistent with the
teachings of Holy Scripture, signifying the importance of the Gospel in relation to one’s
life development process.
b) Praise and worship specifically targeting crowds of regular and irregular church goers,
believers and non-believers, in exaltation of the Almighty God, with the intention to
stimulate the Gospel’s awareness in individuals and societies.
c) Fellowshipping in congregations to encourage and simultaneously equip the believers
through Bible instruction and study, in order to take up servant-hood responsibility in
the Body of Christ, in being, then doing.
d) Developing discipleship on committed believers within the congregation in edifying
and subsequently leading to stable, mature servant-hood reflecting Christ-like qualities
in preparation of greater efforts for God.
e) Carrying out Soul Winning activities within the domestic and international

communities, by well equipped core servants, comprising; missionaries, lay ministers
and evangelists to bring about changed lives.
ARTICLE 5 – ASSOCIATION
AUTHORITY
5.1 His Story Mission shall remain free and independent and shall not join itself to any other
denomination or synod. It shall remain its own highest authority. The Board of Officers, at its
annual, quarterly and special business meetings, is the legislative and governing body of His Story
Mission.
AFFILIATION
5.2 His Story Mission shall comply with the law and be so registered and affiliated to
Zimbabwe’s Social Welfare Ministry or be affiliated to other Private Volunteer Organisations with
similar objectives as deemed appropriate and necessary; while retaining the right to withdraw at
any time it deems appropriate or necessary to do so.
5.3 His Story Mission may cooperate with other Christian associations, by direct financial or
personnel support; by sending delegates to Conferences; by supporting Domestic and
International Missions; and by uniting in any mutual effort for the furtherance of the Gospel as
the Mission itself may officially decide.
5.4 If the name of the Mission is changed, it shall still retain its corporate name, “His Story
Mission”, but may do business under another name officially decided.
ARTICLE 6 – ARTICLES OF FAITH
PREFACE
6.1 The Bible offers lost people what they are frantically searching for: love, acceptance,
healing, forgiveness, hope, freedom, security, and purpose; settling people’s past, assuring
people’s future and giving meaning to people’s life as contained in the Word of God which has
proved to be inerrant in its original form. Hence, His Story Mission is committed to esteeming the
Scriptures contained herein as Holy and is the very Word of God; that we trust and live in
accordance with it. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 refers, “All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful for
teaching the truth, rebuking error, correcting faults and giving instruction for right living, so that
the person who serves God may be fully qualified and equipped to do every kind of good deed.”
STATEMENT OF FAITH
Of The Scriptures And Scriptural Authority
6.2 We trust that The Bible is of Divine inspiration; that it has God for its author. That The
Bible is a perfect treasure of Heavenly instruction and authority of the sixty-six books, (thirty-nine

in the Old Testament and twenty-seven in the New Testament), is the complete canon of God’s
testimony to mankind; that it has salvation for its end. That The Bible reveals the principles by
which God will judge mankind, and therefore is and shall remain to the end of the world, the true
centre of Scriptural Communion and the supreme standards by which all human conduct, creeds
and opinions should be tried; that it has truth without any mixture of error for its matter.
Of The True God
6.3 We trust that there is One and ONLY One, living and true God; an infinite, omnipresent,
omniscient and omnipotent Spirit Being whose name is Jehovah. That Jehovah is the Creator and
Supreme Ruler of Heaven and earth.
On The Person Of Jesus
6.4 We trust that Jesus, The Son, is the Word of God; according to the Gospel of John Chapter
1:1-2, “In the beginning the Word already existed; the Word was with God, and the Word was
God. From the very beginning the Word was with God.” That Jesus Christ, Who pre-existed with
God and in the form of God, emptied Himself to become fully a man that He might be the
Sacrificial Lamb nailed onto the Cross for the sins of mankind; The Bible reference Scripture
according to the Gospel of John Chapter 17:5, “Father! Give Me glory in your presence now, the
same glory I had with You before the world was made.”
We trust that Jesus was born of a virgin, by the seed of the Holy Spirit; that only the Spirit can
beget that which is Spirit. The Gospel According to Luke Chapter 1:35.
We trust that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life; no one goes to the Father, except by Him.
The Gospel According to John Chapter 14:6.
We trust that Jesus was nailed to the Cross, died, buried and rose again.
On The Holy Spirit
6.5 We trust that the Holy Spirit, being God’s power, is with and in every believer, working and
able to do so much more than any believer can ever ask for or even think. According to the Gospel
of John in Chapter 14:16, Jesus told the Apostles, “I will ask the Father, and He will give you
another Helper, who will stay with you forever.”
Of The Holy Trinity
6.6 We trust that God is inexpressibly glorious in holiness, worthy of all possible honour,
confidence and love. That in the unity of the Godhead there are three persons: The Father, The
Son and The Holy Spirit; equal at every Divine perfection and executing distinct but harmonious
service in the great work of redemption.
Of Mankind And The Fall
6.7 We trust that mankind was created by God from the dust of the earth in the exact likeness
of God, without knowledge of good and evil, and without sin. According to the book of Genesis in

Chapter 1:27, “So God created human beings, making them like Himself. He created them male
and female…” That the first man, Adam, together with Eve, transgressed the command of God
and fell from the state of Holiness without defence or excuse, in consequence of which all
mankind are now sinners, not by constraint but choice.
Of Sanctification
6.8 We trust that according to the will of God, Sanctification is the process by which we are
made partakers of God’s Holiness and that it is a progressive work; that Sanctification is begun in
regeneration, and that it is carried on in the hearts of believers by the presence and power of the
Holy Spirit; being the Helper, the Sealer and Comforter, in the continual use of the appointed
means, especially, the Word of God, self-examination, self-denial, watchfulness and prayer.
On Sanctification Of Marriage And Family
6.9 We trust that God ordained marriage and family as the foundational institution of human
society and that the only legitimate marriage is a sacred and permanent covenant relationship
between one man and one woman, symbolizing the union of Christ and His Church. That the
husband is to be the servant leader in the home and is to love his wife as Christ loves the Church.
That the wife is to submit herself to the Scriptural Leadership of her husband as the Church
submits to the Headship of Christ. Scriptural reference: The book of Genesis Chapter 2:18-25; the
Gospel According to Matthew Chapter 19:4-6 and Paul’s Letter to the Ephesians Chapter 5:21-25.
On Human Sexuality
6.10 We trust that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity is to be engaged in
outside of the marriage of a man and a woman. Any form of child molestation, fornication,
adultery, homosexuality, lesbianism, bestiality, bisexuality, incest, paedophilia, prostitution or
pornography is a sinful perversion of God’s gift of sex. We trust God disapproves of and forbids
any attempt to alter one’s gender by surgery or appearance. Scriptural reference: The book of
Genesis Chapters 2:22-24; 19:5,13; The book of Leviticus Chapter 18:1-30; The Gospel According
to Matthew Chapter 19:4-6; Paul’s Letter to the Romans Chapters 1:26-29; 7:2; Paul’s First Letter
to the Corinthians Chapters 5:1; 6:9; Paul’s Letter to the Galatians Chapter 3:28; Paul’s Letter to
the Ephesians Chapter 5:21-25; Paul’s First Letter to the Thessalonians Chapter 4:1-8; The Letter
to the Hebrews Chapter 13:4.
On Repentance And God’s Purpose Of Grace
6.11 We trust that repentance is a sacred duty, wrote in our souls by the regenerating Spirit of
God, whereby being deeply convinced of our guilt of sin and helplessness, we turn to God with
unfeigned contrition, confession and supplication for mercy. We trust that election is the eternal
purpose of God, according to which He graciously regenerates, sanctifies and saves sinners; that it
is a most glorious display of God’s sovereign goodness, being infinitely free, wise, holy and
unchangeable; that it utterly excludes boasting and promotes humility, love, prayer, praise, trust

in God and active imitation of His mercy; that it is the foundation of believer’s assurance.
On The New Birth
6.12 We trust that, in order to be saved, sinners must be regenerated, or born again; that is
believing in their hearts that Jesus is the Son of God and God raised Him from death; that
regeneration consists in giving a Holy disposition to the mind so as to secure voluntary obedience
to the Gospel and its evidence appears in the Holy fruits of repentance, faith and newness of life.
On The Freeness Of Salvation
6.14 We trust that the blessings of salvation are availed free to all by the Gospel; and that
nothing prevents the salvation of any sinner on earth except the sinner’s own inherent depravity
and voluntary rejection of the gospel; that it is the immediate duty of all to accept the Gospel by a
cordial, penitent and obedient faith.
On The Purpose Of The Faith We Profess
6.15 We trust that faith is a sacred duty; that true faith is of the heart and not just the mind.
That God’s purpose in requiring faith for salvation is to raise our focus and concentration above
the transient to the One Who is Eternal; thereby, the Gospel that is able to save souls must be
preached in the power of the Spirit of God. That the Gospel is not dependent upon human
eloquence or persuasion that may change minds BUT cannot change hearts. That only the Spirit of
God can reveal the Son of God and only the Son of God can reveal the Father.
On Justification Of The Gospel
6.16 We trust that justification of the Gospel entails pardon of sin, and the promise of eternal
life on principles of righteousness; that it is bestowed, not in consideration of any works of
righteousness, but solely through faith in the Redeemer’s blood; that it brings us into a state of
most blessed peace and favour with God, and secures every other blessing needful for time and
eternity.
On The Harmony Of The Law And The Gospel
6.17 We trust that the Law of God is the eternal and unchangeable rule of His moral
governance; that it is Holy, just and good. We trust that we are the servants of the new covenant,
which consists not of a written law, but of the Spirit, for the law brings death but the Spirit gives
life, Scriptural reference Paul’s Second Letter to the Corinthians Chapter 3. Paul’s Letter to the
Galatians Chapter 3:22 adds “But the Scripture says that the whole world is under the power of
sin; and so the gift which is promised on the basis of faith in Jesus Christ is given to those who
believe.”
Of The Great Commandment And The Great Commission
6.18 We trust that the Law of Moses and teachings of the prophets rely on the Great
Commandment, the Gospel According to Matthew Chapter 22:37-40, “Love the Lord your God

with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind…...Love your neighbor as you love
yourself”;
We trust that the Lord Jesus Christ commissioned us to, the Gospel According to Matthew Chapter
28:19-20, “Go, then, to all peoples everywhere and make them my disciples: baptize them in the
Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, and teach them to obey everything I have
commanded you. And I will be with you always, to the end of the age.”
Of Baptism and The Lord’s Supper
6.19 We trust that a believer is baptized by fully immersing in water, into the Name of the
Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit; to show forth in a solemn and beautiful emblem, our faith in
the crucified, buried and risen Saviour, with its effect, in our death to sin and resurrection to a
new life; that it is a pre-requisite to the privileges of a church relation.
We trust in the Lord’s Supper, in which the members of the church by the sacred use of bread and
wine are to commemorate together the dying love of Christ, preceded always by solemn self-
examination.
On The Baptism Of The Holy Spirit
6.20 We trust that the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is an additional impartation which may be
subsequent to regeneration, Scriptural reference Acts of the Apostles Chapters 8:15-17; 19:1-6;
that this baptism is usually accompanied by the gifts of the Spirit, such as speaking in tongues and
prophecy; that this gift is presently available to all who believe, Acts of the Apostle Chapter 2:38-
39, but is not essential for salvation or regeneration; that we are committed to instructing and
praying for believers to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, Acts of the Apostles 19:1-7.
We trust that the purpose of Baptism in the Holy Spirit is to impart spiritual power to the believer
to be a witness, Acts of the Apostle chapters 1:8; 5:32; that this baptism is to be distinguished
from being filled with the Spirit, Acts of the Apostles Chapters 4:31; 7:55; 13:9,52; which can be a
special and repeated empowering for specific purposes. That when believers truly have been
baptized with the Holy Spirit, they should begin to take on His nature and fruit, becoming helpers
and comforters, leading others into truth and testifying of Jesus.
Of The Body Of Christ
6.21 We trust that Jesus Christ is the Lord and Head of His Body, the Church; that a visible
church of Christ is a congregation of baptized believers, associated by covenant in the faith and
fellowship of the Gospel; observing the ordinances of Christ; governed by His laws; and exercising
the gifts, rights, and privileges invested in them by His Word; that its only Scriptural officers are
Elders and Pastors, whose qualifications, claims, and duties are defined in the Epistles to Timothy
and Titus; and that every church organism has the right under Christ to decide and govern its own
affairs.
On The Present Ministry Of The Holy Spirit

6.22 We trust that “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever” (The Letter to the
Hebrews 13:8); and that His ministry in and through the Church by the Holy Spirit has not changed
from the beginning; that we accept, acknowledge, encourage and seek all of the Biblical gifts and
ministries of the Holy Spirit as present and vital for the Church to accomplish its full purpose
today.
On Anointing
6.23 We trust that the anointing is availed to all; but that the character of the individual
sustains the anointing.
Of Righteousness and Wickedness
6.24 We trust that there is a radical and essential difference between the righteous and the
wicked; that such only as through faith are justified in the Name of the Lord Jesus, and sanctified
by the Spirit of God, are truly righteous in His esteem; while all such as continue in impenitence
and unbelief are in His sight wicked, and under the curse; and this distinction holds among men
both in and after death.
Of National And Civil Government
6.25 We trust that government of any nature is of Divine appointment, for the interests and
good order of human society; that government leaders are to be prayed for, conscientiously
honoured and obeyed; except only in things opposed to the will of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is
only Lord of the conscience, and the Prince of the earthly kings.
Of The Christian Sabbath
6.26 We trust that the first day of the week is the Lord’s Day, and is to be kept sacred to
religious purposes by the devout observance of all the means of grace, both private and public;
and for preparation for that rest that remains for the people of God.
Of The Perseverance Of Saints
6.27 We trust that real believers endure to the end; that their persevering attachment to Christ
is the grand mark which distinguishes them from superficial professors; that a special Providence
watches over their welfare; that they are kept by the power of God through faith into salvation.
Of The World To Come On The Second Coming Of Christ
6.28 We trust in the literal, physical return of the Lord Jesus Christ to take authority and rule on
earth; that a solemn separation will then take place; that the wicked will bead judged to endless
punishment and the righteous to endless joy; and that this judgment will fix forever the final state
of men in heaven or hell, on principles of righteousness.
DISCLAIMER
6.29 His Story Mission does not accept any doctrine which contradicts The Bible. His Story

Mission is aware that there are many practices and doctrines in existence that are considered
orthodox, which do not contradict the Holy Scriptures, but which are not directly addressed in
God’s Word, therefore we acknowledge the liberty in the belief and practice of these teachings;
however this may be, His Story Mission will endeavour to maintain the simplicity of the Biblical
testimony and its stated practices as we are given grace to perceive them. His Story Mission does
not accept any spiritual experience as having its source in the Holy Spirit that does not have a
precedent in the Holy Scriptures. His Story Mission does not accept any revelation, vision, dream,
prophecy or discernment as truth which contradicts the Holy Scriptures, or cannot be verified by
it. His Story Mission does not believe that any other writings have the same authority as the canon
of Holy Scriptures.
ARTICLE 7 – MISSION CHURCH
PURPOSE
7.1 His Story Mission is to plant churches in Zimbabwe and beyond. Since churches are very
familiar with societal needs and serve the whole society, subsequently drawing voluntary
membership from all segments of the population, planting and growing the church provides the
opportunity for effective and speedy community mobilization and influence. Scriptural reference
in the Gospel According to Matthew Chapter 16:18 and Paul’s First Letter to the Corinthians
Chapter 3:5-23.
GUIDELINE
7.2 Acts of the Apostles Chapter 14:21-23 outlines the manner in which the Apostle Paul
planted churches. In verse 21, Apostle Paul would firstly preach the Gospel and teach or disciple
many people, which is called evangelism. Secondly, in verse 22, Apostle Paul would then confirm
the souls of the disciples, and exhort them to continue in faith, which is known as edification.
Lastly, in verse 23, Apostle Paul would ordain the disciples elders in every church, here
establishing the local church and at the same time training spiritual leaders to guide it.
FORMAT
7.3 Congregation; Praise and Worship; Sunday School; Bible Study and School; Home and Cell
Groups; Youth Group; Men and Women Ministries; Christian School; Hospital Ministry; Prison and
Service Personnel Ministries; Sport Ministry; et al.
Scriptural reference in Acts of the Apostles Chapter 2:44-47, “…And each day the Lord added to
their fellowship those who were being saved.”
GOVERNANCE
7.4 Individual churches shall exercise self-governance guided by own Constitution, (and
adopted Covenant, Charter and Statement of Faith) drafted by consultation with the Board of
Officers.

ARTICLE 8 – MEMEBRSHIP
NON-COMMITTAL MEMBERSHIP
8.1 Temporary Membership shall be accorded any individual who has been saved but is in
search of a suitable church home that will assist in his or her spiritual growth in relationship with
God.
8.2 Seeker’s Membership shall be accorded any individual who is still seeking to be saved and
might be requiring encouragement, guidance and meaning of the process in order to accept Jesus
Christ as his or her personal Saviour.
8.3 Visitor’s Membership shall be accorded those individuals or groups who are merely sharing
the Word and have no intentions of acquiring full membership.
QUALIFICATIONS OF COMMITTED MEMBERSHIP
8.4 Any individual who has accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour of his or her life, and is
baptized in obedience to Jesus Christ’s; and in accord with his or her confession, who subscribes
to the Statement of Faith cited in Article 6; and must promise to honour and keep the
commitments expressed in the Mission Covenant.
8.5 Mission Board of Officers shall be responsible for determining each person’s qualification
for membership; in making this determination, the Board of Officers may rely on a person’s
profession of faith, or such other evidence, as the Board of Officers so deems appropriate.
ADMISSION OF MEMBER
8.6 Applicants shall be recommended by the Board of Officers for admission into His Story
Mission and accepted by vote of the members at any regular or special meeting of members.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND PRIVILEGES OF MEMBERSHIP
8.7 In accord with the duties enumerated in the Mission Covenant, members shall be
privileged and expected to participate in and strive for the advancement of this Mission by
attending, as much as possible; services and prayer meetings, to contribute regularly to the works
and life of the Mission, to support the spread of the Gospel to all nations, to watch over one
another in love and to attend all member’s meetings and vote on the decisions regarding
membership status and on such other matters as may be submitted to a vote.
MISSION DISCIPLINE
8.8 Should ANY member of the Mission fall into sin and be found to live and/or teach contrary
to the Word of God and the Statement of Faith of this Mission, he or she shall be disciplined
according to the principles set forth in the New Testament, the Gospel According to Matthew
Chapter 18:15-17 and the example of Scripture.
8.9 Should individual admonition not necessarily address the matter, then Mission discipline
can be ordinarily contemplated.

8.10 Mission discipline can include admonition by the Board of Officers or congregation,
suspension from communion for a definite period, deposition from office, and excommunication,
(see 2 Thessalonians 3:14-15; 1Timothy 5:19-20).
GROUNDS FOR DISCIPLINE
8.11 Unrepentant practice of immorality. (see 1 Corinthians 5:1-13)
8.12 Persistent doctrinal heresy. (see 1 Timothy 1:19-20; Titus 3:10)
8.14 Persistent divisions and refusal to reconcile with another. (see Matthew 18:15-17)
PURPOSE OF DISCIPLINE
8.15 Such discipline should be for the repentance, reconciliation and spiritual growth of the
individual disciplined. (Proverbs 15:5, 29:15; 1 Corinthians 4:14; Ephesians 6:4; 1 Timothy 3:4-5; et
al).
8.16 To exert a restraining influence on sin in others. ( 1 Timothy 5:20; et al)
8.17 To restore the erring party to fellowship. ( Galatians 6:1-5; 2 Corinthians 2:5-11; et al)
8.18 For the purity of the Mission as a whole. ( Jude 24; Ephesians 5:27; Revelation 21:2; et al)
8.19 For the good of our corporate witness to non-believers. (see Acts 5:1-14; John 13:35; et al)
8.20 Supremely for the glory of God by reflecting His Holy Character. (see Deuteronomy 5:11;
John 15:8; Romans 2:24; Nehemiah 9:2; Isaiah 52:11; Ezekiel 36:20; Ezra 6:21; et al)

CONSEQUENCE WHEN EXPULSION OCCURS
8.26 No expelled or discharged member has any rights in a business session of the Mission, and
has no right or claimto any of its property, movable or immovable.
TERMINATION OF MEMBERSHIP
8.27 Following the death of a member, the Mission shall recognize his or her termination of
membership;
8.28 The Mission Board of Officers shall recognize termination after a member has voluntarily
resigned or joined with another mission or church.
8.29 Membership may also be terminated as an act of Mission discipline (ordinarily, but not
necessarily, at the recommendation of the Board of Officers) upon vote of at least two-thirds of

the members present at regular or special meeting of members.
8.30 The Mission shall have authority to refuse a member’s voluntary resignation or transfer of
membership to another mission or church, either for the purpose of proceeding with a process of
church discipline, or for any other biblical reason.
ARTICLE 9 – OFFICERS AND STAFF
MISSION OFFICERS
9.1 His Story Mission recognizes offices of Leadership, Pastors, Elders and Deacons and in
addition, this Mission recognizes also the administrative positions under this constitution of clerk,
treasurer and financial secretary.
9.2 All of these officers must be members of this Mission prior to assuming their
responsibilities.
9.3 Furthermore, this Mission recognizes the need to set up an overall Board of Ministers
comprising Leadership, Pastors, Elders and Deacons.
LEADERSHIP
9.4 The Leadership shall be comprised of not less than three persons who satisfy the
qualifications for the office of leaders set forth in First Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9.
9.5 A majority of the active Leadership shall be composed of Mission members not in the
regular pay of the Mission, and no Leadership shall also bear responsibility in offices of Elder and
Deacon or Deaconess during his or her tenure, but shall bear office of pastor as and when
necessary and shall be recognized by the congregation as particularly gifted and called to full-time
ministry of preaching and teaching.
9.6 Leadership shall oversee ministry and resources of the Mission, taking particular
responsibility in coordinating and promoting the ministries of the Mission, and mobilize the
Mission for domestic and international missions.
9.7 The Leadership, after consultation with Elders, Deacons, Deaconesses, and the Mission
Membership, shall present to the Mission an itemized budget, and this budget shall be presented
for discussion at a specially-called budget meeting and called up for a vote at the following
members’ meeting.
9.8 No money shall be solicited by or on behalf of the Mission or any of its Mission Churches
without the approval of the Leadership.
9.9 The Leaders shall elect a chairman of the Leadership meetings and shall also elect one of
their numbers, to serve as moderator of members’ meetings.
9.10 The Leadership shall have primary responsibility for employment, supervision and
evaluation of paid staff members.
9.11 The Leadership shall be responsible for determining, preparing, compiling, implementing
and evaluating Policies and Standard Operating Procedures to be used by the Mission.

9.12 The Leadership shall be expected to work in perfect harmony with everyone associated
with the Mission, internal and external.
SENIOR PASTOR
9.14 The Senior Pastor shall be part of Board of Officers, and shall be recognized by the
congregation as particularly gifted and called to the full-time ministry of leading, preaching,
praying, training, counseling and teaching.
9.15 The Senior Pastor shall preach on the Lord’s Day, administer the ordinances of baptism
and communion and perform such other duties as usually pertain to that office, or set forth in the
constitution.
9.16 In the absence or incapacity of the Senior Pastor, Leadership or the Elders or the Deacons
or Deaconesses shall assume responsibility for his or her duties, any of which can be delegated.
9.17 The Senior Pastor shall be expected to work in perfect harmony with everyone associated
ELDER
9.18 The Elder shall be the leader of the congregation and fellowship. He or she must be
Biblically qualified after such Bible passages as First Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9.
9.19 Because an Elder is recognized as man and woman who is mature in experience as a
dedicated spiritual minister, called to specific Christian ministry as administrator as spiritual
advisor and is respected by others, he or she shall watch over the flock and see that the Body of
Christ is built up.
9.20 Elder shall work together with pastors and assisted by deacon or deaconess in pursuit of
the stated purpose of the congregation.
9.21 Elder shall bear office of pastor as and when necessary and shall be recognized by the
congregation as particularly gifted and called to full-time ministry of preaching and teaching.
9.22 Elder shall take particular responsibility in coordinating and promoting the ministries of
the Mission.
9.23 The Elder shall be expected to work in perfect harmony with everyone associated with the
Mission, internal and external.
ASSOCIATE PASTOR
9.24 The Mission shall call additional pastors whose relationship to the Senior Pastor will be
that of associate.
9.25 Associate Pastor shall assist the Senior Pastor in the performance of senior pastoral regular
duties and shall perform any other duties as usually pertain to the office of pastor, or as set forth
in the constitution, or which may be specifically assigned to him or her by the congregation.
9.26 In the absence or incapacity of the Senior Pastor for defined periods of time such as

sabbatical or illness, the Associate Pastor shall assume the responsibility for his or her duties
under the oversight of the Board of Officers.
9.27 The Associate Pastor shall be expected to work in perfect harmony with everyone
associated with the Mission, internal and external.
ASSISTANT PASTOR
9.28 The Mission, as it so deems appropriate, shall call additional Assistant Pastor, from within
the congregation only, whose relationship to Senior Pastor is that of assistant.
9.29 An Assistant Pastor shall be an Elder, Deacon or Deaconess who shall assist the Senior and
Associate Pastor in the performance of their regular duties, and shall perform any other duties as
usually pertaining to the office of pastor.
9.30 The Board of Officers shall define and oversee the responsibilities of the Assistant Pastor.
9.31 The Assistant Pastor shall be expected to work in perfect harmony with everyone
PASTORAL ASSISTANT
9.32 The Mission, as it so deems appropriate and necessary, shall hire additional staff to assist
with pastoral ministry, designated as Pastoral Assistant. These shall not be pastors, Elder, Deacon
nor Deaconess.
9.33 The Board of Officers shall define the responsibilities of the Pastoral Assistant and hHe or
she shall serve at the will of the Board of Officers for an agreed period of time, and the Board of
Officers will have discretion as to the extension of pastoral assistant services.
DEACON AND DEACONESS
9.34 Deacon and Deaconess are set apart by God and the congregation to provide special
services to the needs of the congregation.
9.35 Deacon and Deaconess must be called of the Holy Spirit, and Biblically qualified after such
passages as First Timothy 3:8-13 and Acts 6:1-6.
9.36 Deacon and Deaconess shall work with pastors and Elders in carrying out the work of
shepherding the flock.
9.37 The Deacon or Deaconess shall be expected to work in perfect harmony with everyone
MISSION CLERK
9.38 The Mission Clerk shall be an active adult member of the congregation who can faithfully
take notes of official meetings of the Mission;
9.39 The Mission Clerk shall preserve an accurate roll of the membership; and to render reports
as requested by Leadership, Pastors, Elders, Deacons and Deaconesses or the Mission.

9.40 The Mission Clerk shall be nominated by the Board of Officers and elected by the
congregation to serve the duties of the Mission Clerk to serve a term as per appointment
agreement.
9.41 The Mission Clerk shall be expected to work in perfect harmony with everyone associated
MISSION TREASURER
9.42 The Mission Treasurer shall be an active member of the congregation who has some basic
skills in accounting or bookkeeping, but who shall not be an active Elder, Deacon or Deaconess, or
paid staff member, and he or she shall be responsible for all moneys received from the Financial
Secretary.
9.43 The Mission Treasurer shall also be responsible for presenting regular reports of the
account balances, revenues and expenses of the Mission at each of the members’ meeting. The
responsibility may be delegated with the approval of Board of Officers.
9.44 The Mission Treasurer shall also ensure that full and accurate accounts of receipts and
disbursements are kept in books belonging to the Mission and that adequate controls are
implemented to guarantee that all funds belonging to the Mission are appropriately handled by
any officer, paid staff member or anyone acting on behalf of the Mission.
9.45 The Mission Treasurer shall render to the Board of Officers annually, or whenever they
may require it, an account of all transactions as treasurer and of the financial condition of the
Mission.
9.46 The Mission Treasurer shall be nominated by the Board of Officers and elected by the
congregation to serve the duties of the Mission Treasurer to serve a term as per appointment
agreement.
9.47 The Mission Treasurer shall be expected to work in perfect harmony with everyone
MISSION FINANCIAL SECRETARY
9.48 The Financial Secretary shall be an active adult member of the congregation who can be
trusted with the confidentiality of personal offerings.
9.49 The Financial Secretary shall be nominated by the Board of Officers and elected by the
congregation to serve the duties of the Mission Financial Secretary, to serve a term as per
appointment agreement.
9.50 The Financial Secretary shall be expected to work in perfect harmony with everyone
THE BOARD OF OFFICERS
9.51 The Board of Officers is comprised of the persons who have met the Officers’ selection

criteria and are actively occupying the offices of Leadership, Pastors, Elders, Deacons and
Deaconesses. These are men and women who serve the congregation and are never domineering
others or ruling for their own benefit, but that does not mean they should exercise authority
firmly, nor what they do will always be pleasing to those under them. But, nonetheless, they are
appointed as servants to serve the membership of the household of God. The Lord Himself is the
One who directs their service and is the One responsible for giving the increase.
9.52 The Board of Officers’ duty shall be to equip or prepare the believers of the Mission for
Christian ministry, so that the whole flock may be built up toward Christ-likeness and unity, see
Ephesians 4:11-16. Specifically by the power and authority of Christ Jesus they are to:
a) Equip the members by giving Biblical foundation and direction to our various Mission
Churches. (Acts 20:28; Ephesians 4:12-13; 1 Timothy 3:5 and 5:17; 2 Timothy 3:16)
b) Equip the members by exemplifying a mature Christian life. (1 Peter 5:2)
c) Equip the members by protecting the flock from false teachers. (Acts 20:28-31)
d) Equip the members by helping the weak and praying for the sick. (Acts 20:35; James 5:14)
e) Equip the members by encouraging and helping missionaries from our fellowship. (1
Timothy 4:14)
9.53 The Board of Officers shall take particular responsibility in coordinating and promoting the
ministries of the Mission, and mobilize the Mission for domestic and international missions
9.54 The Board of Officers shall be expected to work in perfect harmony with everyone
TERMINATION OF OFFICERS
9.55 An officer’s term of office may be terminated by resignation or by dismissal.
9.56 Any two or more members with reason to believe that an officer should be dismissed
should express such concern to the Board of Officers, and if need be, to the congregation. Any
such action shall be done in accordance with the instructions of our Lord Christ Jesus in Matthew
18:15-17 and First Timothy 5:17-21.
9.57 Any officer may be dismissed by a two-thirds vote of the members at any members’
meeting of the Mission. No expelled or discharged officer has any rights in a business session of
the Mission, and has no right or claimto any of its property, movable or immovable.
9.58 The Mission shall have authority to refuse an officer’s voluntary resignation, either for the
purpose of proceeding with a process of Mission discipline, or for any other biblical reason.
MISSION STAFF
9.59 His Story Mission recognizes the need to create positions for and approve candidates, and
appoint them as paid staff members of this Mission, and that the paid staff members do not
necessarily have to be members of this Mission, though first option will be offered to members of
this Mission.
9.60 The Leadership shall have primary responsibility for the employment, supervision, and

evaluation of paid staff members. This responsibility, however, may on case to case basis be
delegated to another paid staff member.
9.61 Paid Mission Staff shall be expected to work in perfect harmony with everyone associated
ARTICLE 10 – ELECTION OF OFFICERS
PRINCIPLES
10.1 The process of Mission elections shall be interpreted and carried out to fulfill the following
principles:
10.2 Substantial prayer, both individually and corporately, should be an integral part of the
election process;
10.3 Nominations should proceed with the support of the Board of Officers;
10.4 All candidates for church office should be treated with grace, kindness and honesty
appropriate in evaluating fellow members;
10.5 The election process shall express that spirit of mutual trust, openness and loving
consideration that is appropriate within the Body of our Lord Christ Jesus.
SELECTION OF OFFICERS
10.6 The election of officers shall be held at a members’ meeting of the Mission.
10.7 Names of nominees to serve in the Mission as Elders, Deacons, Clerk, Financial Secretary
or Treasurer, shall be presented by the Board of Officers at the previous members’ meeting,
(providing that previous meeting occurred at least eight weeks prior), and the election shall
proceed as directed by the moderator.
10.8 The Board of Officers should seek recommendations and involvement from the general
membership in the nomination process.
10.9 Any member with reason to believe that a nominated candidate is unqualified for an
office should express such concern to the Leadership. Members intending to speak in opposition
to a candidate should express their objection to the Board of Officers as far in advance as possible
before the relevant Mission members’ meeting.
10.11 The moderator shall declare elected all persons receiving three-quarters majority of all
votes cast for the office of Elder.
10.12 For all other offices, the moderator shall declare elected all persons receiving a simple
majority of all votes cast; abstentions will not be considered as votes cast.
10.14 The persons elected shall assume their respective offices upon election, unless another
date has been specifically designated.
CALLING OF THE SENIOR PASTOR

10.15 In the calling of any individual to the position of senior pastor, the same basic process of
calling an Elder must be followed.
10.16 In addition, however, the Mission must be given adequate opportunity to assess the
preaching gifts of any potential senior pastor and, before being asked to express its judgment,
must receive assurance from the Board of Officers that, having interviewed the person concerned,
they are in no doubt as to his wholehearted assent to the Statement of Faith and Mission
Covenant. 10.17 Notice of the nomination of the person to be elected to membership and
called as senior pastor (which shall include, if necessary, election to membership of his or her
spouse if the person is married) must be given two Sunday services following the nomination,
prior to the vote at a members’ meeting.
CALLING OF ASSOCIATE PASTOR
10.18 In the calling of any individual to the position of associate pastor, the same basic process
of calling an Elder must be followed.
10.19 In addition, however, the Mission must be given adequate opportunity to assess the
preaching gifts of any potential associate pastor and, before being asked to express its judgment,
must receive assurance from the Board of Officers that, having interviewed the person concerned,
they are in no doubt as to his wholehearted assent to the Statement of Faith and Mission
Covenant.
10.20 Notice of the nomination of the person to be elected to membership and called as
associate pastor (which shall include, if necessary, election to membership of his or her spouse if
the person is married) must be given two Sunday services following the nomination, prior to the
vote at a members’ meeting.
CALLING OF ASSISTANT PASTOR
10.21 The calling of any person to the position of assistant pastor requires that the person has
been recognized and called by the congregation to the office of Elder.
10.22 Such a person may then be called by the Board of Officers to serve as assistant pastor with
defined duties for a fixed period of time specified by the Board of Officers in the terms of his call.
ARTICLE 11 – COMMITTEES
Committees may be formed, appointed, or elected at any special business meeting as the need
arises, or as otherwise as the Board of Officers so deems appropriate and necessary. These
committees shall be responsible to the Board of Officers and shall be responsive to the decisions
of the Board of Officers and the Mission sessions.
ARTICLE 12 – MEETINGS AND ADMINISTRATION

12.1 In every meeting, members shall act in that spirit of mutual trust, openness, and loving
consideration which is appropriate within the Body of our Lord Christ Jesus.
WORSHIP MEETINGS
12.2 Worship services and Sunday School services shall be held each Lord’s Day, which is
Sunday at time(s) as is decided by the Board of Officers; and all other services shall be conducted
at such day(s) and time(s) as is decided by the Board of Officers; according to the Purpose of the
Mission as set forth in Article 3.
MEMBERS’ MEETINGS
12.3 There shall be regular members’ meetings at least every other month, at some time apart
from public worship service agreed upon by the membership.
12.4 A member designated by the Board of Officers shall preside as moderator at all members’
meetings of the Mission.
12.5 The Board of Officers shall see that the stated meetings of the Mission are regularly held
and that required reports are submitted to the Mission by the responsible members.
12.6 Provided that all Constitutional provisions for notification have been met, a quorum shall
be understood to be met by those members present.
12.7 All votes shall be tallied based on the number of votes cast by members present; in the
event of an even split of votes, the moderators vote shall so be deemed the majority.
12.8 At any regular or special business meeting, officers may be elected and positions filled as
needed, so long as all relevant Constitutional requirements have been met.
12.9 Special business meetings may be called as required by the Board of Officers, or at the
written request, submitted to the Board of Officers, of five percent of the voting membership. The
date, time and purpose of any special business meeting shall be announced at all public services
of the Mission within two weeks preceding the meeting. In the event of a written request from
the members, the Board of Officers shall call a special business meeting to be held within one
month of their receipt of the request. All votes shall be tallied based on the number of votes cast
by members present; in the event of an even split of votes, the moderators vote shall so be
deemed the majority.
12.10 A budget shall be approved by the membership at a members’ meeting not more than
three months after the start of the financial year. Prior to this approval and subject to the Board
of Officers’ discretion, expenditures may continue at the prior year’s level.
ARTICLE 14 – FUNDING AND APPLICATION OF FUNDS
SOURCE OF FUNDS
14.1 To raise and to receive funds for the furtherance of the objectives of the Mission.
14.2 To seek and accept donations, or subscriptions, whether domestic or international; and to
apply for and receive Government grants; (whether in cash or in kind and whether movable or

immovable property) for the purposes and objects of the Mission generally or for any one or more
of the said objects.
14.3 To invest in and to conduct or carry on any trade or business for the purposes of
generating funds for the Mission.
14.4 To receive offerings and tithes and gifts, or any such instructed Biblical command, from the
congregation for the purposes of funding Mission work and activities.
14.5 However, to accept or refuse any form of donation or further donations shall be in the
absolute discretion of the Board of Officers.
SECURITY OF FUNDS
14.6 The Mission shall from time to time open and maintain such type of account or accounts at
such bank or banks or financial institutions as the Leadership shall from time to time decide and to
pay monies forming part of the Mission’s funds to the credit of any such account or accounts or
place the same upon deposit therein and to draw upon such monies or accounts and to close the
same as the Leadership decide.
SIGNATORY
14.7 The Board of Officers shall delegate to such authorized signatory or signatories as they
may from time to time deem appropriate or necessary any or all of their duties relating to banking
and financial institutions and accounts pertaining thereto and upon such terms as they may
decide; provided that no withdrawal of funds from any account may be authorized, nor any debit
be authorized or any cheque be issued for any amount unless the authority for such withdrawal or
debit or the cheque concerned were authorized or signed by any two of such signatories; and the
Board of Officers may from time to time change the persons to whom such delegations of
authorized signatories may have been made.
FINANCIAL ACCOUNTS
14.8 The Board of Officers shall cause full accounts to be kept of the Mission’s funds and all
income arising there from and all dealings therewith and of all the payments made thereof; and at
least once in each financial year the Board of Officers shall cause to be prepared a statement of
account and a balance sheet for the preceding year.
AUDIT
14.9 The Board of Officers shall appoint an auditor and may pay such fees as may be decided by
the Board of Officers for the auditing of accounts and the balance sheet each financial year, and
shall cause the said statement of account and balance sheet to be audited each financial year by
the said auditor.

APPLICATION OF FUNDS
14.10 Subject as hereinafter provided the Leadership shall pay and apply the funds of the
Mission for the following purposes and for no other purposes whatsoever except as may
hereinafter be authorized:
14.11 To or for or towards such a charitable purposes of the Mission and in exercise of such of
the powers of the Mission and in such manner and such times and in such amounts as the
Leadership may from time to time in their absolute discretion decide.
14.12 To or for or towards leasing, holding, acquisition of movable or immovable property for
such purposes of carrying out any Missions work or activities, both domestic and international,
and in such manner and such times and in such amounts as the Leadership may from time to time
in their absolute discretion decide.
14.14 To or for or towards the cost and expenses of the administration and management of the
affairs of the Mission and of its funds in such manner (including the expenses, costs and fees
relating to the preparation and completion and implementation of domestic and international
Mission Churches and establishment of domestic and international Missionary workstations and
activities.)
14.15 The Board of Officers shall from time to time if they so deem appropriate and necessary in
their absolute discretion pay or apply any part or parts of the capital of the Mission funds in any
manner in which they are authorized to pay or apply their income thereof.
ARTICLE 15 – INDEMNIFICATION
MANDATORY INDEMNIFICATION
15.1 If a legal claimor criminal allegation is made against a person because he or she is or was
an officer, employee, or agent of His Story Mission, then Mission shall provide indemnification
against liability and costs incurred in defending against claimif the Board of Officers determine
that the person acted (a) in good faith, (b) with the care an ordinarily prudent person in a similar
position would exercise under similar circumstances, and (c) in a manner the person reasonably
believed to be in the best interest of the Mission, and the person had no reasonable cause to
believe his or her conduct was unlawful.
PERMISSIVE INDEMNIFICATION
15.2 At the discretion of the Board of Officers, His Story Mission also may indemnify any person
who acted in good faith and reasonably believed that his or her conduct was in the Mission’s best
interest and not unlawful.
PROCEDURE
15.3 If a quorum of the Board of Officers is not available for an indemnification determination

because of the number of Trustees seeking indemnification, the requisite determination may be
made by the membership or by special legal counsel appointed by the membership.
ARTICLE 16 – DISPUTE RESOLUTION
16.1 Trusting that The Bible commands Christians to make every effort to live at peace and to
resolve disputes with each other in private or within the Christian Church (the Gospel According to
Matthew Chapter 18:15-20; Paul’s Letter to the Corinthians Chapter 6:1-8), His Story Mission shall
require its Members to resolve conflict among themselves according to Biblically based principles,
without reliance on the secular courts.
16.2 Consistent with its call to peacemaking, His Story Mission shall encourage the use of
Biblically based principles to resolve disputes between itself and those outside the Mission,
whether Christian or pagan and whether individuals or corporate entities.
ARTICLE 17 – PROPERTY RIGHTS
PROPERTY OWNERSHIP
17.1 His Story Mission shall have the power to receive property, whether movable or
immovable, either by donation, grant, gift or by purchase, and to hold such property as is
authorized by the laws of Zimbabwe, and as is deemed necessary for the business of His Story
Mission, and shall have the power to dispose of such property at any time at the discretion of the
Board of Officers, by way of selling, cession or transferring, donating or otherwise dispose of the
same or any part thereof.
17.2 All contracts, notes, mortgages, conveyances, assignments, leases, releases and other
documents and papers pertaining to property handling on behalf of His Story Mission shall be
executed by the Board of Officers.
17.3 His Story Mission shall receive property, whether movable or immovable, either by
donation, gift or purchase in its own name and shall dispose of such property by way of selling,
cession or transferring, donating or otherwise dispose of the same or any part thereof in its own
name.
DIVISION
17.4 Should division occur in His Story Mission, the name and title to all properties is retained
by those adhering to the Constitution of His Story Mission. In the event of irreconcilable
differences, the name and title to all properties is to be retained by majority vote of the
Leadership. However, in the event of an even split of its members, the Mission Leader’s vote shall
be determined as the majority.
ARTICLE 18 – AMENDMENTS

This Constitution can be amended or re-written at an Extra-Ordinary Meeting by a three-quarter
vote of Committee Members of His Story Mission present at that meeting, providing the said
proposed amendments has been presented in written form and discussed at a congregational
meeting at least three months prior to the time of voting, and having been announced from the
pulpit at church services three successive Sundays prior to such a vote.
ARTICLE 19 – EXEMPTION AND DISSOLUTION
In the event of the liquidation, dissolution, termination or winding up of the His Story Mission,
whether voluntarily, involuntarily or by operation of law, all property, movable or immovable, and
funds remaining after the payment of all debts of the His Story Mission, shall be distributed to or
among such educational, scientific or charitable organizations, institutions, funds, foundations or
trusts, having objects wholly or in part similar to the objects (or some objects) of the His Story
Zimbabwe Trust, and in such amounts or proportions as may be decided by the Leadership,
subject to such approval or approvals as may be required by law.

The headings to the paragraphs in this Constitution document are inserted for convenience only
and are not to be used in the construing or interpretation of this Constitution.
