How To Eliminate Fleas From Humans
1. How To Get Rid Of Fleas On Humans
When most people think of fleas they often think of it as being a pet problem. It’s not until they’re
attacked in their own beds in the middle of the night that they realize that fleas can be anyone’s
problem.
If you’re the victim of savage flea attacks, there are measures that you can take to fight back.

2. ✤ 1. Strip off your bedding and thoroughly vacuum your bed.
Push the vacuum nozzle as deeply as you can in order to pick up everything on the surface of the
mattress including fleas, larvae and eggs. Use an almost scraping motion to dislodge any stray flea
eggs.
Do this at least once a week until fleas are no longer attacking you. Once the flea attacks decrease,
you know you’re on the right track and the vacuuming is working.
2. Wash all of your clothes and blankets using the hot water cycle. It’s unpleasant when you find
your stomach covered in bites from the previous night only to wake up in horror the next morning
and find that you’ve been a victim of a night flea feeding.

3. ✤ Be consistent in your de-fleaing efforts and keep washing your clothes in hot water until the little
crusty red specs that dots your clothes disappears.
These are flea feces and a sign they’ve been snacking on you.
Most importantly, wash yourself thoroughly including your hair, use a lice comb to dislodge any
misplaced eggs and to stop them from ending up in your clothes and on your bed again.
A little detail that’s easy to overlook when it comes to getting rid of fleas from your home are your
drapes and curtains. Remember that flea eggs are almost invisible to the naked eye and can get
lodged in crevices anywhere.

4. ✤ It’s important when de-fleaing your home to not leave any nook or cranny untouched.
✤ Fleas can end up just about anywhere and if it’s within their jumping distance you better believe you’ll
find them there especially if you have pets, they make the ultimate transport systems and fleas can
end up anywhere your pets do.
So we’re going to pay special attention to our drapes and upholstery to combat our flea problem.

5. ✤ Directions:
Grab your trusty vacuum cleaner and thoroughly clean everything from sofas to chairs, even give
your cushions a good going over. This will suck up stubborn fleas and eggs, while your vacuum is
still running, grab a can of bug spray and dispense a couple of puffs into the vacuum hose to kill any
live fleas, eggs or larvae.
Use a fresh vacuum bag each time, disposing of each one after use by placing into a rubbish bag,
tying it off and disposing of it.
Be vigilant and repeat this method 2 to 3 times a week to eliminate fleas. This will prevent further
flea infestation.
To go that extra mile, you can always machine wash your drapes using the hot water cycle but only if
your drapes are machine washable.
