Access to State Government Information Initiative (significant accomplishments) 2002/2003 Conducted Survey of State Agencies Publishing Practices and published A White Paper on the Status of North Carolina Digital State Government Information (published digitally on website) 2004 Staff served on Library of Congress Advisory Team for new National Digital Information and Infrastructure Preservation Program (NDIIPP) 2005 Staff participated in first mutli-state project led by the Illinois State Library to develop and test a web harvesting tool for capturing websites 2006 Created and sponsored the first national Best Practices Exchange for Digital Preservation of State Government Information here in NC. The 5 th annual BPE will be held in Arizona in Fall 2010. 2006 Received 3 state funded positions and $37,000 operating budget to establish the Digital Information Management Program (DIMP) in the State Library
