Looking back at your preliminary task the school magazine what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product
1. Looking back at your preliminary task [the school magazine], what do you feel
you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?
2. From looking back at my school magazines (Parent & Pupil), I feel as if I have improved
my skills on photoshop and also become more clear with how to make a magazine look
more professional. I have found out from my research that magazines do not have to be
am packed with things and it doesn’t have to be really complicated like I thought it
would. I have also found out that for publishing documents, publisher is definitely alot
better, whereas photoshop should just be used for editing your photos, as I have found
out from my experience of making my magazine that publisher is alot more simple than
photoshop and is much easier to manipulate text. If I compare my front covers of my
magazine, you can see, my music magazine is alot better and contains more stories on
the front , making it look more professional, and also the title stands out alot more.
Although I think I have over – photoshopped my magazine, and with the time given I
didn't have enough time to re-do it, so I had to leave it as it is. If I were to do my
magazine again, I would probably only use Photoshop for editing my images which were
going to be on my magazine, and I would then export them and put them on my
magazine on a program such as InDesign, Illustrator or Publisher, simply because the text
looks like it is a higher quality and more professionally laid out.
