This Earth’s movement --- Earth’s rotation
about the Earth–Moon barycenter, which
Ye Sen calls the Earth’s “ZiZhuan”(“子转”),
is responsible for many natural phenomena
on the Earth. Because this movement is an
eccentric rotation, so the Earth gets
different linear speeds on its surface.
Earth rotates about the Earth–Moon
barycenter when rotating on its own axis
and revolving round the Sun. 2

3. For tides:
The difference of the linear speeds on
Earth’s surface will add to the Earth’s
rotation on its own axis and will affect
about 1/18 of the Earth’s rotational speed
on the equator. (about 1/16 at latitude
30°). And these different linear speeds on
the Earth’s surface play major roles in
causing the tides.

4. Compare this 1/18 (or 1/16…) with
another ratio - The lunar gravitational
force on a certain waterbody on the Earth
is only about 1/281961 the Earth’s
gravitational force on the same waterbody.
1/18 (or 1/16…) VS 1/281961, the lunar
gravitational force (the Moon’s gravity)
doesn’t make much sense in causing the
tides.
