2. WHAT IS PODCASTING?
A way for people to be able to selectively subscribe to audio or
video content over the Internet
Allows people to listen when they want and where they want
4. TYPES OF PODCAST
Currently, there are three types of podcasts:
1. A basic podcast contains only audio and is the easiest to
create and listen to.
2. An enhanced podcast has audio, images, slides (narrated
PowerPoint presentation or Keynote), embedded URLS, and
chapters
3. A vodcast (or video podcast) contains video, audio,
embedded URLS, and chapters

13. BENEFITS OF PODCASTING
Enables teachers to reach students through different mediums
Students are better able to visualize a specific topic
Engages and motivates students to learn
Reaching a vast audience
Student-created podcasts can be subscribed to and viewed
by parents and the community
Podcasts can be viewed on any computer, an iPod or a television
14. SAMPLE LESSON IDEAS

3. Cite and analyze information about your topic using various
resources. Select three different sources from the list below
and cite using MLA style format
