   Chick-‐fil-‐A
  is
  in
  the
  midst
  of
  a
  controversy.
  President
  and
  chief
  operating

officer
  of
  the
  fast-‐food
  chain,
  Dan
  Cathy,
  said
  in
  a
  radio
  interview
  that
  “we
  are

inviting
  God’s
  judgment
  on
  our
  nation
  when
  we
  shake
  our
  fist
  at
  him
  and
  say,
  ‘We

know
  better
  than
  you
  as
  to
  what
  constitutes
  a
  marriage.’”
  Cathy
  is
  very
  firm
  on
  his

stance
  that
  traditional
  marriage
  is
  the
  only
  marriage
  acceptable.
  He
  does
  not
  believe

same-‐sex
  marriage
  should
  be
  supported.
  Other
  information
  leaked
  that
  said
  Chick-‐
fil-‐A
  is
  funding
  anti-‐gay
  groups.
  Customers
  are
  forming
  boycott
  groups
  against
  the

company
  and
  protesting
  possible
  new
  locations,
  specifically
  in
  Chicago.

Effect

   This
  issue
  is
  affecting
  every
  part
  of
  the
  company
  from
  the
  top
  management
  to

the
  employees
  at
  the
  restaurants.
  Customers
  are
  becoming
  angry
  at
  Chick-‐fil-‐A
  due

to
  difference
  in
  personal
  opinions
  and
  stopped
  visiting
  the
  restaurants.
  The
  dispute

between
  the
  rights
  of
  same-‐sex
  unions
  now
  is
  taking
  a
  toll
  on
  the
  employees.
  Several

events
  of
  harassment
  of
  the
  employees
  occurred
  at
  numerous
  locations.
  In
  Atlanta,

an
  irate
  customer
  pulled
  up
  to
  a
  drive-‐thru
  window
  and
  yelled
  at
  the
  employee
  at

the
  window
  for
  supporting
  Chick-‐fil-‐A
  by
  working
  there.
  In
  three
  different
  locations

in
  Arizona,
  drive-‐thru
  customers
  threw
  food
  at
  employees.
  The
  Chicago
  City
  Council

also
  threatened
  to
  deny
  permits
  to
  build
  new
  locations
  in
  the
  city.

  Dan
  Cathy
  increased
  his

  of

  to
