Wilson disease is a genetic disorder, it prevents the body
from getting rid of the extra copper,
Too much copper is poisonous, In Wilson Disease, copper
builds up in the liver, brain, eyes, and other organs. Over
time, high copper levels can cause life-threatening organ
damage.

People who has Wilson Disease cannot release copper from
the liver at the normal rate

Kayser - Fleischer rings, A build up of
copper in the eyes .
your skin yellows and whites of the eyes
. They appear in each eye as a rusty-brown ring around the
edge of the iris and in the rim of the cornea.
fatigue Extreme tiredness, typically
resulting from mental or physical exertion
or illness
swelling of the liver of spleen

About one in 40,000 people gets Wilson's Disease, it effects
men and women
the Symptoms usually appear between ages 5 to 35,

10. HOW ARE THEY PASSED?
In order to inherit Wilson disease both parents must carry
one genetic mutation (abnormal alteration in the gene) that
each parent passes to the affected child

11. How is Wilson disease treated?
Wilson disease requires lifelong treatment to reduce and
control the amount of copper in the body.
