Figure Out Which President I Am?
1. I was the first President of the United States of America.
2. I delivered the well known Gettysburg Address in 1863.
3. In 1966 I was Governor of California before I became
President.
4. I was President when the first World War had begun.
5. I was President when the depression started.
6. I was quoted saying, “ Ask not what your country can do
for you- ask what you can do for your country.”
3. 1. George Washington Is The
Correct Answer!
S The First President of the U.S.A.
S He served from 1789 to 1797.
S In 1775, he took command of his troops
and embarked on a 6 year war. In
1781, Washington and his troops forced
Cornwallis to surrender at Yorktown.
S Washington realized the Nation was not
in good hands under the Articles of
Confederation. The new Constitution
was commended and the Electoral
College selected Washington as
President.
S When France and England entered a
war, Washington stressed the
importance of staying neutral until
America became stronger.

which freed any slaves.
S Abraham Lincoln was assassinated
on April 14th, 1865 at the Ford
Theatre in Washington. He was killed
by John Booth, a confederate .

someone tried to assassinate Reagan, but he
recovered from the gun shot wound.

economic growth, and increase employment
rates.
S Reagan also achieved a refurbish of the income
tax code. It eliminated deductions as well as
excused people with low income.
S Under Reagan's reign, America had seen it’s

depression.

Wilson.
Woodrow Wilson was our 28th President. He served
from 1913-1921
Wilson became President of Princeton (College of New
Jersey) in 1902.
While in office he accomplished The Underwood Act,
The Federal Trade Act, and The Federal Trade
Commission. All which played a role in America
receiving more money and protecting people and their
businesses.
Wilson also passed the child labor laws.
On April 2nd, 1917 America entered World War I.

Hoover, You Are Right!
S Herbert Hoover was our 31st President.
He became the Republican Presidential
Nominee in 1928.
S He served from 1929 to 1933.
S During World War, President Wilson
appointed Hoover head of the Food
Administration.
S After being elected, the stock market
crashed and the nation slipped into the
depression.
S While President, Hoover cut taxes and
lengthened public works spending.
S Hoover also presented to Congress a
program asking for the Reconstruction
Finance Corporation, which would help
aid businesses.

F. Kennedy
John Kennedy was our 35th President and
served from 1961 until 1963.
Kennedy was the youngest man ever
elected President, but also the youngest to
die.
Kennedy increased the Americas military
strength by making new efforts in outer
space.
He launched the country’s longest
continuous expansion by his economic
programs.
Kennedy took fierce action for equal rights
and called for a new civil rights legislation.
John F. Kennedy was assassinated in 1963
in Dallas Texas.
11. John F. Kennedy wrote a book
called Profiles in Courage,
when he was in the Navy.
