- NME is generally for the indie market however, Lily Allen is portrayed at the front cover contrasting this. On the front cover, you are able to see both men and women artists targeting the teenager market. However, NME won’t appeal to all teenagers, only the ones that like the music it features.
- The type of language which is used in this article, is both informal and colloquial. The language is also direct, ‘And what was indie rock while this was going on?’ as this is directly speaking to you (the readers).
- NME has a simple colour scheme. It uses masculine colours such as red, blacks and white. They have used a white background so that that the text and the pictures don’t blend in with it and they stand out more. Lily Allen's clothes match the colour scheme of the feature, her tartan shirt shows masculinity and that she is more masculine than feminine. She's stood with her hands on her hips, however her wrists are pointing up to show the reader her tattoo. This shows her to be quite rebellious. She is looking directly at the reader connoting that she's strong and demanding attention.
- The Article Title is a Sans Serif Font, as it used usually for large headlines to stand out. The colour scheme of this title, is also consistent as black is being used. The size of it, is generally quite big, so then it is easy to read as well as stand out. The feature’s head line is in the same style and font as the main cover line on the front cover, it’s also a pull quote from the text. This shows that it’s related. Lily Allen’s name is also in this style which makes it stand out from the surrounding text. The background is white and uncluttered so the readers attention is just on the text and the picture.

- Lily Allen is on the front cover as well as the double page spread. She has been in the press recently for negative reasons. She looks like the stereotypical image of an ‘Emo’ with her hair colour and eye make-up. Her hands on her hips, shows her masculine side showing her anchorage.
- This magazine is similar to the front cover in some ways due to the fact that the magazine is based on one artist, Lily Allen. Also, the colour scheme of the front cover is carried onto the double page spread. The colour scheme of Red, Black and White are consistent throughout.

- The eye flow of the double page spread, starts from the right to the left and back to the right. The eye flow is like this, because when you read a magazine, you are more likely to turn the page and look at the right hand side of the magazine and then focus on the left hand side of the double page spread. This then makes your eye flow back to the right where the main text is.
- At the bottom of each page is a the page number, the name of the magazine and the date. The name of the magazine is in the house style font and colour as it always is whilst the date is in a smaller font and is in italic. The picture credits are written in a small sized font, in bold at the side of the body copy. The by-line is written at the side of the head line in the same style as the main cover line and Lily Allen's name in the lead. Lily Allen's name is written in the top right hand corner of the page in a black box. This tells the reader who the article is about.
