国費留学生奨学金支給期間延長申請についての注意事項
（2009 年 4 月渡日大使館推薦国費留学生（大学院外国人研究生）用）
今回（2009 年 4 月募集）の国費留学生奨学金延長申請は、2009 年 4 月に大使館推薦国費
留学生として渡日した者で、2009 年 10 月に正規課程に進学する外国人研究生が対象です。
なお、申請に当たっては、以下の【1】から【4】に十分注意してください。
【1】国費留学生として正規課程に進学するには：
以下の 2 つの条件を両方とも満たすことが必要です。
（1）この申請が認められること
（2）申請書に記入した進学先に合格すること
【2】進学先について：
（1）別紙様式 1-1「奨学金支給期間延長申請書」の 6「進学予定大学及び希望する奨
学金支給期間」に記入した進学先以外に進学した場合：
奨学金の延長は許可されません。
（2）進学予定大学（または大学院研究科）は：
第二希望まで記載することができます。受験の可能性がある場合は、必ず第二希
望まで記載してください。
(3)外国人研究生が博士課程に進学する場合：
同じ研究科内で進学する場合であっても、受験資格を満たしているかどうか、事
前に十分に確認してください。
(4)他の研究科、他の大学への進学を希望する場合：
進学希望先の入試予定及び入試の内容を、事前に十分確認してください。
(5)他大学に進学を希望する場合：
申請にあたり、「指導教員の意見書（別紙様式 4）」に、その理由を十分に説明する
必要があります。
【3】進学時期について：
別紙様式 1-1「奨学金支給期間延長申請書」の 6「進学予定大学及び希望する奨学
金支給期間」（3）奨学金支給期間に記入した年月以外の時期に進学した場合：
奨学金の延長は許可されません。
なお、今回延長申請が認められているのは、2009 年 10 月に進学する場合のみであ
ることに注意してください。
【4】今回延長申請をしない場合：
必ず、別紙 ER-2「理由書」を提出してください。

Points of Attention regarding Applications to Extend the Term of
Monbukagakusho Scholarship
(For Research Students nominated by Japanese embassies and came to Japan in April 2009)
Current applications to extend the term of Monbukagakusho scholarship (applications start to be
accepted from April 2009) target Research Students who nominated by Japanese embassies and came
to Japan in April 2009 and will be accepted to the regular courses in October 2009.
In filling out an application, please pay particular attention to the following points from 【1】to 【4】.
【1】To be admitted to a regular course as a Monbukagakusho scholarship student, this application must
be approved, and you must be accepted to the graduate school(s) indicated on the application form.
【2】Notes for advancing to the graduate schools with scholarship：
(1) In the event that you advance to a graduate school other than the one indicated in item 6
(University of Intent and Requested Scholarship Term) on Attachment 1-1 (Application to Extend
the Term of Scholarship), your requested scholarship-term extension will not be approved.
（2）You may list up to two universities (or graduate schools) to which you intend to apply. If there
is a possibility that you will be taking entrance examinations, be sure to enter your first two
preferences.
(3) If you will be advancing to a doctoral course, please ensure that ample time is given to confirm
in advance that you satisfy the qualifications for taking the entrance examination (even if
advancing to a program within the same graduate school).
(4) If you wish to be admitted to a graduate school at the University of Tokyo other than the one
to which you currently belong, or another university, please ensure that ample time is given to
confirm in advance the schedule and contents of the entrance examination at the desired school.
(5) If you wish to move on to another university, you will need to give an ample explanation of the
reasons behind your intention in the Supervisor Recommendation form (Attachment 4) when filing
the application.
【3】Notes for the time of advancing to the graduate school with scholarship：
In the event that you are accepted at any time other than the month and year entered in item 6
(3)(University of Intent and Requested Scholarship Term) on Attachment 1-1 (Application to
Extend the Term of Scholarship), your requested scholarship-term extension will not be approved.
Please note that this time you can apply for scholarship extension for enrolling in a regular
course which starts from October 2009 ONLY.
【4】If not applying for an extension at this time, be sure to submit the attached Statement of Reason
form(Exhibit ER-2).
